  1. You guys are way too gullible. It's a live version of the song edited to louder and with crowd noised muffled out. Admittedly, it is a really good edit - but it has way too much echo and isn't crisp enough for it to be the studio version. Like I said earlier - if this person had the leak, why would they be putting the song Mylo Xyloto up to prove it? Wouldn't they be putting up a part of Princess of China or something more exciting? They only chose to put this up because it is the easiest to edit. I'll believe this sucka if he puts up a part to a different song that isn't so easy to fake.
  2. edit: forget that. This:
  3. http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=78145 Go down to the bottom where it says "Live CD" (it's great quality) and download that file.
  4. You're dense enough to really believe that? Some idiot just put that up there to troll. Why would EMI leak the album? That would lose them money.
  5. Madonna didn't raise buckets and buckets loads of support and awareness for minorities and the disenfranchised the same way Gaga has done.
  6. How on Earth is she unoriginal? I can't think of anyone even remotely like her. She's become the Queen of Pop music in barely five years, she's inspired thousands and thousands of people and has become an icon. She's also incredibly talented. Most importantly though, she breathed a new breath of life into pop music. You're a huge snob.
  7. You don't see the evolution of Coldplay from Parachutes to MX? What? :stunned: That's not opinion, that's called being an invalid.
  8. I'd do more fucked up things to her than that. God damn she's a nice piece of.. :escaping3:
  9. I think claiming Pumped up Kicks is glorifying school violence or is promoting it is stretching way too far. Making a piece of art about an issue /=/ supporting the issue. I don't like the song, or the band. But I don't believe for a second that the band is supporting gun violence in school.
  10. I think that's only because of how long U2 has been around. They are legends now. It's not cool to hate on legends. When Coldplay has been around for thirty five years I doubt people will be trashing on them as much as they do now.
  11. Hmm.. It all depends where you go man. In the UK, Radiohead is fucking huge. They're a household name - especially with people who were teens in the 90s. I think Radiohead are just as big as Muse are in the UK. Hell, for the first five years of Muse's existence they were known as "those Radiohead clones". U2 and Coldplay are more "mainstream" than both of them though. I can't stand this topic. It implies that "mainstream" is bad. Mainstrem is completely meaningless and says nothing about the band. The Beatles were main stream, ffs.
  12. Lol, it doesn't work like that. You aren't going to find this album by searching random websites. Twitter will go into cardiac arrest when this album leaks, so will the 'tube and facebook. It won't be hard to find it at all after that.
  13. Because so many people get their opinions from the media in general and as a result they lose the ability to truly connect with music on a personal level and introspect. This obviously results in much larger connotations. People in general seldom connect with anything privately. I think that is a harmful reality. I think you pretty gravely misinterpreted my post. I wasn't supporting general apathy.
  14. Do you? Why do you believe that? That sounds like a very silly thing to believe. Especially because now we know all the track times and there isn't one track over five minutes on the record.
  15. Why do any of you even care? Music critics work in one of the most irrelevant fields of work available in Western society. Sure they can use big words, act smug and spew elitist rhetoric all over their trendy little magazines - but that doesn't make what they are saying mean anything at all. It is simple opinion. Giving MX a 4/5 means this reviewer liked it. Giving MX a 0/5 means that reviewer hated it. How is any of this a newsflash? The headline for these articles may as well read: "THIS JUST IN: MUSIC IS STILL SUBJECTIVE". Why are we as a society expected to care about what anyone thinks about music other than ourselves? Who cares about what Pitchfork will give the album out of ten? Every second or third generic indie/electronica band gets a 8-9/10 on that website, and they are still completely unheard of years later. Oh wow. What cutting edge "journalism". I understand we're all excited about the album, but this just seems ridiculous to me.
  16. Radiohead are incredibly mainstream in the United Kingdom. They're arguably bigger than Coldplay, especially with the 90s demographic.
  17. Nope. It's in a football stadium, so it 100% the work of Coldplay's crew. It's certainly the shape of the MMIX symbol. Expect to see this pattern for their MX tours.
  18. Eh, similiar lyrics at times. I really doubt either song had anything to do with the other.
  19. bunch a mongs. Joking, it was cute.
  20. I think Charlie Brown will be the next one, then POC. That still leaves one song. Coldplay will do 5 singles, and I'm not sure what the fifth will be. When we hear the album we should have a better idea.
