EP?
From what they said, it was orchestral, if I remember right? Maybe it's just not right for the MX aesthetic.

LP6
I realise though that the "repetitive words" thing is a symbol of people's hate of MX, not just yours. When you said "Chris may put all the silly collabs and repetitive wa wa para para nonsense on his solo album", I simply thought you meant that he should extend the MX direction into his solo work. It wasn't a dig at you.

Does anyone know if it'll be released to disc, rather like the other ceremonies of the games?

^ This is the current list, then.

Radiohead
I'm not saying that's not true, just it's a little more Eraser-like than I would've expected from what is essentially a new band. Not that it's not great.

The Blur Thread
It doesn't have to be in any order, just the 25 must-hear songs. Midlife is great, but of course it needed to show songs from all eras, include different ones to the best of... the way we're doing it, it's just the fans' favourites. And it's no trouble. :)

I'm going to say that the five Blur songs you should hear the most are: Beetlebum Girls and Boys This Is A Low Sing Tender If the next person writes five more songs below, and so on, I'll do the first 25 into a Spotify playlist, of a beginner's guide to Blur. For anyone or everyone that wants it!

What is it with the "repetitive words" thing? Why does everyone hate it? It literally appears in two Coldplay songs. "Wa-a-a-a-a-aterfall" is used twice. "Para, para, paradise" is an alright chorus. Is it some big, bold new direction? Is it the death and decay of good old fashioned songwriting? Am I the only one missing something here? :inquisitive:

I don't know how much you know about Blur, but Think Tank's an odd one to start with, because Graham their guitarist left just before the recording of it. If you want quintessential Blur, have a listen to Parklife. Can't go wrong.

The Damon Albarn thread.
Any reason's lame when it comes to missing Damon Albarn, really. Just wish the London date was next week instead of now :\

I'd like a new album next, rather than another tour. Not that I don't want them to tour, just a new album would be amazing.

Noel Gallagher
Noel last night... Unbelievable.

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
I can only think of the two you mentioned and Paradise.

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
Newfound appreciation for the song now I can see Chris doing the twiddly bass parts on it.

The XX
I think xx is one of the most definitive records of our country in recent times.

Oh that's what a kitara is? Now why did I think it was an African, percussive instrument? :inquisitive:

Also, that bass is gorgeous. <3

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
It would have to be a mix of Butterflies and Hurricanes and Knights of Cydonia; rock-pomp and classical craziness in equal measure. Of course, they've probably missed the boat for this one though :(

The Damon Albarn thread.
I'd go to London if I had the money, someone to go with and no work :(

Radiohead
Wow, enjoy!

Doctor Who ???......
I don't think I've quite got it all. What does everyone else think?

Radiohead
Which date are you seeing?

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
I was thinking earlier, and you know there are a couple of discarded track titles that haven't made The 2nd Law? What if - and this is a long shot - they've done the Bond theme for Skyfall? :P

I really wanted to go to Africa Express!
