  2. I think it's probably more of a socio-geographical album than cosmological.
  3. I think Butterflies and Hurricanes is the ultimate definition of how to title a song. The title obviously relates to the theory that the flap of a butterfly's wings can trigger off a hurricane, and that's reflected in the lyrics, but it took me longer to realise that the song begins on a single D note that evolves and unravels into a huge, octave-scaling piano solo, again a reference to the title. Clever stuff. My favourite three titles: Thoughts of a Dying Atheist, Butterflies and Hurricanes, Bliss. Least favourite: Muscle Museum, Knights of Cydonia, Exo-Politics.
  4. I disagree. I'd say that Unsustainable is just bad... and not because it's dubstep, it's just not very good dubstep. Sure, it's different, but it's not good. Survival for its bombast, bluster and sameyness, has redeemable features. Not least of which, that beautiful chord sequence.
  5. Ooh now you come to mention it, Fools Day and Coffee and TV need to be in there somewhere. Get rid of Country House, easy. And Caramel I'd love to see.
  6. That's quite a brilliant setlist. The only one I'd really like to see not included here is Essex Dogs.
  7. If I saw 5/10 of the bolded songs live, I'd die a happy man.

Guns & Roses are still going. Doesn't mean they're any good. Without causing a mass argument, Robyn's really not my thing. I have an interest in electronic music, sure, and I can see why some people might go for it, but I saw her support Coldplay too, and she was terrible. Lacklustre musically, the set was topped off with the Every Teardrop cover which went down with the crowd like a shit sandwich. There was often silence after some of the... antics. Rita Ora went down better. (Hopefully I've towed the line well between ignorance and not enjoying it... I respect what she does, it's just not for me, and it was a terrible booking.)

  10. Whenever someone mentions this topic, I think of this... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfQY8_jFZKU]Hilarious Dara O'Briain Moment - Guilty Pleasure - YouTube[/ame] The sounds you put in your ears doesn't make you a better person.
  11. It's not that they're bad, it's that they're lazy more than anything else. I think the solo saves Invincible, and I actually like Undisclosed Desires, but if I have to sit through it live in its current form again, I'll kill myself. It's an alright album, it's just not found the strengths of the band yet, and certainly not found the bombast. Ironically to that though, I think the highlights are Falling Down and Unintended.

How Soon Is Now, the Smiths
  13. I think Prague's my least favourite Muse song... Along with Neutron Star Collision, Guiding Light, Dark Shines and Time Is Running Out. What's everyone else's?
  14. Hi, I've done a remix of a friend's song, and it's made only of samples. I've never sampled before, nor do I own rights to the music I've sampled, it's just something different. If you're into electronic music, have a listen! I'd appreciate it muchly. http://cowjumpedoverthemoon.webs.com/ There are also other remixes of established artists such as Radiohead, Lana Del Rey, Noel Gallagher, Gorillaz and Franz Ferdinand.
  15. Resistance is just so MOR it might as well be a Snow Patrol song. Ooh, 1984-themed lyrics, so original. Unnatural Selection just sounds like a poor New Born. The final four songs on that album are my favourite final four songs since OK Computer. Uprising is good. The rest is take or leave. EDIT: And actually, MK Ultra's good.
  16. That would be ridiculous though, surely? It's to Barcelona's credit that they've developed a team almost entirely of Spaniards, and it's to Spain's credit that these players are good enough to play for Barcelona. It's not exactly an advantage by crooked means; they've put a lot of work into the academies, and there's a degree of luck that all these good players have come through at once. If anything, we should encourage sides to build their academies to the strength of Barca's, right?
  17. Same, considering The Resistance was Muse's backcatalogue 2.0.
  18. I felt that way about Eurasia. And Guiding Light was appalling on record, and live. Unnatural Selection should've been replaced with New Born at Wembley. Resistance is U2-lite shite. And I didn't actually mind The Resistance all that much, believe it or not.
  19. Live it was worse. Dear me.
  20. Unless of course Prelude is part of the same track as Survival. If they had half a brain cell between them they'd do something a little bit different to The Resistance, considering it's their least popular effort since Showbiz.
  21. Going by that logic, Survival is the United States of Eurasia of this album. More than plausible.
  22. Pretty sure that's an "EX" to the right of her finger... Explorers?
  23. It's patchy. Nothing new exciting or bold, mostly miss with a couple of hits. The 8-minute Lucid Dreams beats the shit out of every song on that album. Masterpiece.
