  1. Mixed feelings, for now I really can't tell if I like it or not. Really dig the color spectrum, but I think it worked perfectly before the AHFOD performance at the Tidal gig, so it was kind of disappointment for me. It's fun to hear these snippets but they doesn't mean anything yet. For now I really liked all the live performances of the album. Amazing Grace is becoming the best so far for me. Really like the string, bass, vocals and backing vocals of this song. This the album where Guy really shines with all that bass.
  2. Coldplay/Chris Martin has done TONS of charity work and then they advertise some product for 30 seconds in one of their videos and then they are sell outs, horrible human beings, who doesn't give a sh*** for the world and with the only goal to be rich people and do parties and sell their horrible and lazy music to the masses only to please them. Nice logic! For some people Chris and c.o should live under a rock without a hair cut wearing black shirts and jeans listening only hipster alternative cult music and please all their fans (which is impossible) donating everything they have to the rest of the world remaking their past songs and talking about complex deep philosophical existentialist topics with complex far-fetched lyrics making very little money out of it. In another topic if you look for past interviews (even in the Parachutes era)Chirs mentioned several times his like for others pop artists and music. Not only him but Guy, Jonny and Will too. In my opinion they were stuck with the idea of what a pop rock band should look and do and what was their identities as an artists. They now free themselves for all of it and are not afraid to explore all their influences as an artists. Off course this doesn't mean they aren't immune to criticism because the truth is none of us are. And that doesn't mean that I think their overall recent work is better them their past, because for me it's not even thought I really like some of their recent songs. But music is subject as it gets to, you either like or not, it's not something you can put much logic into. Some songs connect with people some don't. Doesn't mean they are bad or good songs. Some people may hate Mozart or not being connect to his music but love Rihanna and being connect to hers. Some people may love Rihanna and Mozart. Some people may recognize the artistic value of Mozart but not connect to or not like his music. Some songs of Coldplay doesn't mean anything to me and some does. I think it's rarely a thing to love all the works of one specific artist, it's not impossible but is very very rare. The majority of the artists I like has done at least one piece that I do not like. I think expectations really high can ruin everything because most times will leave you disapointed.
  3. Pretty good to see the gang back. A Head Full Of Dreams is an EXPLOSIVE upbeat song it's like Coldplay MX version of Politk. Amazing Day is really epic and sounded great here, best performance of this song so far. At the start I didn't like Up&Up, but the song builds, builds and builds and then Jonny starts one of the best guitars solos of Coldplay career and I was like O_O. AHFOD seems like their best album since Viva. I'm totally on the HYPE train.
  4. All my love and prayers to all the french coldplayers and their friends and families. Really sad day to the whole world.
  5. Guys if you want to record this I suggest this software : http://www.nchsoftware.com/capture/ . It works pretty good. I will try to record the concert too.
  6. Funny but the TIDALXCOLDPLAY ad in portuguese says the event will start in 10 minutes, but I believe they didn't check the time zones correctly LOL.
  7. Just discovered this on Tidal: [video=youtube;Po-7_dsEuRQ] Thanks Tidal/Coldplay
  8. That's great news. My favorites videos from Coldplay are direct by Matt Whitecross. And yeah why not? They done much more embarrassing things like True Love, or Sky Full Of Stars and Princess of China. I think it will be fun. And where is Andy Serkins? hahaha
  9. Really like this single. It's my favorite Coldplay single since Viva.
  10. This is a good one : http://www.stream4free.me/tf1 Works fine for me.
  11. LOL. Dat font is pretty lame too. It's like someone throw up a Rainbow, an Unicorn and some animals and planet images from an encyclopedia and clean it up in the middle which appears the real cover and call it psychedelic. EDIT: But I really like the idea of putting old photos of them as children.
  12. About Chris voice performance, which was very shaky and a little out of tune, in his defense I would say he was damm tired. He's done a TON of interviews and promo work today since early in the morning for different radio shows and channels so he and the rest of the band must be exhausted by now, I think
  13. Sometimes people confuse OPINIONS with FACTS and start to argue about who is right and who is wrong. Opinions are just that, just opinions, learn to accept them is going to make you a lot more peaceful this days. Opinions are not universal truths or any truth and they always change from time to time. Chill out guys! Anyway, in my opinion Coldplay is a very different band today. I think they still not done something masterful since the Viva days, but here and there they released some great songs, some so-so songs and some annoying ones (POC, ASFOS, INK etc). But I know how talent they are and I can predict them releasing a brilliant piece of music like in the Viva days in not so distant future, may or may not be in A Head Full Of Dreams. Although they changed their sound and are a different band today I see something that never changed, and it may sound I little cheesy, but I can see that they're doing music because they really like it and not just for money or to get big and being recognized as brilliant artists by the critics . They are really passionate artists and I think that's what sets them apart from countless musicians in the industry today. Even when I heard their worst songs I feel their passion. They translate that brilliantly in their songs even in their worst. They are a strictly pop band now, but pop can be very good if you are opened to it, so I still have faith that something brilliant will pop out someday. That being said I think Adventure Of Lifetime is a great song, it's definitely better than most of their previous singles since 2011 with Mylo Xyloto and 2014 with Ghost Stories. It's not perfect but for me translate the dance vibe better than ETIAW and it's way more inspiring than A Sky Full Of Stars and better produced than Don't Let It Break Your Heart, three of the most "dancing coldplay's songs". I really like how different it sounds than everything they done in the past. I'm expecting a better pop album than MX and Ghost Stories even if AHFOD have it's faults like the forgettable Amazing Day. PS: Sorry for my english :/
  14. hmmm... I always thought Hurts Like Heaven and ETIAW are better for that purpose.
  15. hmmm... I think that pretty much confirms Coldplay headlining Glaston 2016. Glastonbury 2011 is one of my favorites Coldplay's concert. You can feel that the whole band really enjoy playing there.
  16. About the making of Speed of Sound: "This song is about the things we take for granted, the really incredible things or really terrible things you just accepted happen, but don't really understand why." - Will Champion " It was about recognize miracles and incredible things there are around you all the time and not necessary have to explain them or work them out. Because we have a tendency to over analyze everything and worry about the things to much. It really about to enjoy or be terrifed by miracles and tragedies and not necessary have to explain them." - Chris Martin
  17. The setlist probably will be their biggest singles and some LP7 songs. Sadly I'm not expecting them to play their least known songs like Politk, Hurts Like Heaven, Midnight and etc. I already accept that this the way they are working nowadays. My guess is this: 1 - LP7 song 2 - ETIAW 3 - Paradise 4 - Clocks 5 - LP7 song 6 - The Scientist 7 - God Put A Smile Upon Your Face 8 - Viva La Vida 9 - A Sky Full Of Stars 10 - Amazing Day 11 - In My Place - Break - 13 - LP7 song 14 - Yellow 15 - Magic 16 - Fix You 17 - LP7 song
  18. I love the version of Clocks they played during the X&Y tour with that insane extend ending. Politik is pretty epic too (and one of my favorite songs of all time). Charlie Brown is hundred times better played live. The same goes for Hurts Like Heaven. The cover of "You Only Live Twice" and "Can't get you out of my Head". PS : Sorry for my bad english.
  19. 1 - The Scientist 2 - Strawberry Swing 3 - Christmas Light ( I'm not a fan of the song, but the video is awesome) 4 - Violet Hill 5 - ETIAW Honorable mention: Life in Technicolor II
  20. Chris Martin real life version of "Deal With It" meme. This is what I can hear and visualize right now: Chris Martin - I'm the lead singer of one of the biggest rock bands in the world and this is MY WIFE. TUN-TI-TUN-TI-TUN-TARAM-RAM  :cool: How you doing? Background music: Ohhhh Ohhh Ohhhh. TURN DOWN FOR WHAT! TURN DOWN FOR WHAT! Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Will Champion, Jay-Z and Beyonce heads appears on top of the body of random hip hop fans. Background music: TURN DOWN FOR WHAT. Chris Martin : :wink3: PS: Sorry for my terrible english :(
  21. I would love to see something like this for LP7 (minute 37:00 of the video): [video=youtube_share;tQeGbK34J5E] I think it sounds like nothing they ever done before, and would be really great to hear more bass from Guy. Bring Eno back!!! LOL PS: Sorry for my English :/
  22. The opening sequence of "A Rush Of Blood To The Head" is FLAWLESS. Politik ---> In My Place ---> God Put A Smile Upon Your Face ----> The Scientist ----> Clocks (only all time Coldplay classics). That is why this is their best album yet. Honorable mention : The first half of Mylo Xyloto is what makes the album for me. Mylo Xyloto -----> Hurts Like Heaven -----> Paradise ----> Charlie Brown ----> UATW----> MMIX ---> ETIAW. The second half is just really weird when put together, thought I love the ending with Up With The Birds.
  23. I think the first half of Mylo Xyloto (until ETIAW) is brilliant! And this is one of my favorites performances of Charlie Brown: [video=youtube;VgeO4V1JdC4]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgeO4V1JdC4 #NoOneCares LOL
