Ghost Story - your review
Ghost Story has the sound of an AROBTTH B-side about it, which is brilliant. The guitar is superb and the chorus is very catchy and includes my favourite sound in music, which is what I call "the crocodile" due to primary school. I love the way the chorus explodes into life. A good song. 8/10

All Your Friends - your review
All Your Friends sounds like a Sigur Ros song, which is brilliant as Sigur Ros are one of the best bands of the last 20 years. The hook of "fiiiiiiiiiiirrrreeeee" is extremely catchy. Sounds like an album opener, so if it was between this and AIMH to open the album, I'm glad they chose AIMH. This song is good, but not on the "full" album for a reason. 7/10

O - your review
Beautiful piano, beautiful lyrics, gorgeous atmosphere. It brings me to tears whenever I hear it. Chris' vocal performance on O is the best it has ever been and the lyrics encapsulate the whole album and closes this era perfectly. Possibly the best song Coldplay have ever recorded, definitely in the top 5. 10/10

A Sky Full of Stars - your review
A good song but completely out of place on this album. I have no beef with Avicii or EDM. A good song but it feels wrong to be wanting to dance and spin just after being brought close to tears on Oceans. Yes, it shows how versatile Coldplay are and how they can make you feel two polar opposites in just over 9 minutes of music (Oceans and ASFOS) but, for me, doesn't belong on the album. As a song 8/10 On the album 6/10

Oceans - your review
Fantastic song. Can't fault it anywhere. A mixture of the Parachutes and X&Y eras. 9/10

Another's Arms - your review
Another's Arms is my least favourite song on the album. The lyrics in the first verse are, in my opinion cheesy and just not very good. This ruins the whole song. The rest of the song is brilliant but I just can't forget the first verse and every time I think "Okay, I'll give AA another go, I'm probably being too harsh on it" I end up hearing the first verse and just get the urge to skip it. Despite this, musically it is great and the sample of the lady singing is one of my favourite bits on the album. Unfortunately though I have to give Another's Arms a 6/10

Midnight - your review
Musically the most experimantal song Coldplay have ever produced. Chris' vocals hiding behing a vocoder and the dark, deep pulsating bass make the song feel dark and like there's something hiding and there's something deeper to this track. The layers of synth are carried along by the repetitive bass and loops that are constantly being added to. For me, Midnight is one of the best songs, musically, Coldplay have ever made. 9/10

True Love - your review
True Love, there's not really a lot I can say about this song. There's the odd interesting bit of bass from Guy and Chris' falsetto is again on top form. Solid 8/10

Ink - your review
Ink captivated me from the off. It's catchy guitar and simple drums emphasise the melody that Chris sings some heartfelt lyrics to. The chorus hits a chord for me, as I have felt "that" feeling, as has most of the world. However the best bit of the whole song for me is the little "do do do's" in the chorus. For me, they make the song. 9/10

Magic - your review
Brilliant melody, lyrically estute, however when compared with the rest of the album it feels a bit "meh". I don't know why this is, maybe it's because I listened to it a billion times before the album came out so it feels odd in the context of the album but for me it lacks what the rest of the album has. Still a good song, just not brilliant. 7/10

Always in My Head - Your review
Lyrically one of the best songs on the album with a true sense of "this is what's happening, this is the general theme" a great album opener for me. Simplistic, great lyrics, bass that holds the song together (this is the case for the whole album) and an almost hypnotic guitar riff.

A Sky Full Of Stars!! (Out now - See first post)
Yeah they certainly don't need to attract any new fans or try to sell records but you really can't beat a bit of pop every now and again, well good pop anyway. They know what they're doing and although I would have loved an album full of songs like Yes, 42, MTM and Midnight I love the fact that Coldplay can make these songs that just make you smile and feel instantly happy aswell as the melancholic songs that leave you open and sensitive and it's seems like GS has both of those on the album. I think it could rival Viva for their best album

A Sky Full Of Stars!! (Out now - See first post)
The song is brilliant. The guitar is brilliant, the melody is brilliant, the sound is brilliant. It's all brilliant. People moaning that Coldplay have "sold out" are just idiotic in my opinion. Coldplay have always and will always be a band that write fantastic pop songs and were never not popular so it's impossible for them to actually sell out. Changing their sound for ONE SONG, one WHOLE SONG really isn't a big deal. I love the new direction their going in, all the GS that I've heard (AIMH, AA, Oceans, Magic, Midnight and ASFoS) are produced magnificently, musically tight and have great hooks. Ghost Stories is shaping up to be one fantastic album.

Setlist Predictions for the future Ghost Stories Tour?
"want" not "won't" I know it's a bit of a Coldplay tradition to open with the album opener but AiMH isn't a "POW" opener so it could change for this tour?? Maybe they'll open with a "POW" song from GS (if there is one) However my instinct says that there won't be a "POW" song that'll suit opening a song, or indeed a stadium filler (unless SFoS really is as fantastic as people say it is) so I think it'll be hard for them to captivate 40,000-90,000 people with the GS stuff purely due to the fact that not everone there will be a Coldplayer or know the album tracks. So I think they'll either play smaller shows and play what the hell they want to, a bit like Smashing Pumpkins did, or they'll do a U2/Metallica and just play the greatest hits + fan favourites. Hopefully it'll be the former

Ghost Stories, release date: 19 May 2014
Has anybody else noticed that the four songs with times listed in iTunes are all 4:45 long?? I mean, it could be a coincidence, but this is Coldplay, they're such dorks about EVERYTHING

Guesses on when the Ghost Stories Tour will start?
As they'll be playing stadiums in South America, that part of the tour (I think they'll tour there first to make up for the cancelled tour) will have to happen before or after the FIFA World Cup (Start 12th June, finishes 13th July). They wouldn't be able to play Brazil whilst the tournament was on, (that's what I'm basing this on). Then maybe some small gigs in Europe or arena shows during the winter and then the same in America after the new year. That's my guess if the whole "No extended tour" tweet is true. Although, personally I'd love to see more smaller shows like the U1R gig. It just seemed more personal and energetic.

Wish list for next era tour
I think the stadium tour set will be 24/25 songs long (basing this on Muse' most recent 6th album tour) with mainly hits and new songs and a few surprises (like Warning Sign and SOS last stadium tour)

[19-Dec-2013] Coldplay @ Eventim Apollo, London, UK
Did anyone else think there was a bit of an awkward silence after Chris mentioned being in the studio for a year or was that just me? Obviously it wasn't deadly silent but nobody said anything or wooped

Does anybody else think they'll play any new songs from LP6. I know it's probably unlikely, but as it's a charity gig they'll be generous ;)
