Would you really say a band who's mostly been calculated and purposeful with their interaction, suddenly turns into complete trolling mode and keeping fans' anticipation for nothing? I think it was quite clear what I was saying, that this game has not been all for nothing and so it's not a problem. So, I don't see anything crazy in my expression. You could put it that way that he's having fun, that's for sure. 😄 But if you follow the pattern of tweeting and answering to fans' tweets since the beginning of the year, it's either fun like full time trolling fans without respect or fun like playfully and strategically hinting towards some news about Moon Music and FFTF2024. If they're purposefully trolling fans, it would be cruel and unlike Coldplay imo. So, if there is no news coming up, you rather stay silent, without specifically interacting with fans that bring up the topics related to new releases.

So, according to the latest answer on X, Coldplay is expressing their excitement for Big Weekend performance through "nest with eggs" emoji. For the past months they've been teasing through emojis that something is being tied up and hot to serve, so only way to interpret it is that something new is ready to be finally hatched then this weekend. Ideally it would be some new music, or what?

I think most of the struggles they went through were quite natural part of becoming a big successful band, how to balance recording albums and touring, stay healthy/rested and manage pressure of label etc. So, my personal opinion is that this narrative about mainly emphasizing struggles and troubles of X&Y era is getting kind of old. It's now fair to say they went through it relatively successfully and it only made them stronger, and a few amazing songs came out of that era. We all have more difficult periods in life, doesn't mean, we can't move on and accept going through difficulties at some point. Although it's not my favourite as an album, the overall sound of X&Y is amazing. I think there was tons of songs declined from those sessions and some songs were reworked and restructured multiple times, example of that is alternate version of Talk. Maybe someone can bring out more.

I think in this cryptic message the word evolution is definitely included in the meaning, but it's not the whole meaning. It is unclear if it's trying to give hope that new music has gone through a lot of work and progress and is lunching soon. Or it's describing the new album, which is an evolution and change from previous records, has a lot diversity and innovativeness in it and discoveres new territories, but still sticks to their roots in someways. But yeah, could as well be a new song title Evolution as well.

That's a good point to bring out. Coldplay currently posting video of dreaming about Athens on June 8 makes me think they have no hope of releasing any new music in near future. Maybe playing something new in a concert is their only hope. 😆

I think the most important question is if we're going to find out what FFTF2024 means. 😄 While we're waiting it would be fun to see if anyone gets close to guessing it exactly. I have seen a lot of ideas about it, but let's see if anyone comes up with something new. My theory, which is pretty lame to be honest, but I haven't seen anyone mention it: So the FF (ff) is basically a common abbreviation used in books referring to pages, meaning "and following...". TF could mean "to follow". So it's basically referring to MOTS follow-up in 2024.

Considering a few things, I'm actually having one quite optimistic theory. Indeed, it's going to be a break for 4 months, but then they will basically tour for the whole European summer until there is almost 2 months break in September-October. If the album is going to be released in September, Moon Music release campaign should start going quite soon and these 4 months can't involve any more heavy writing and recording sessions for the album. Album must be already in tracklist confirmation, mixing and mastering stages. Explanation: Because Moon Music doesn't seem a lowkey release like Ghost Stories and Everyday Life were, I'm seeing this 4 months gap now should be mainly used to start some promo and finally coming out to general public and interviews again etc, otherwise they just stay inside their own fan bubble. To use this time effectively, it means that single or some announcement should come out much earlier than in May, at least in March. There is a few tiny little things, which added together would support the theory. For example ColdplayXtra having Moon Music fan artwork competion, with "Winners likely to be announced before March 3rd". At first it seems like a random thing, but I don't think the timing of this competition is random, there must have been some hint from Coldplay management, because they have some connections. Also, for example Brit Awards is on March 2nd, I would imagine it's a great place to perform something new. Basically the schedule would be something like: lead single and announcement in March, some more promo, tv appearances + videos etc in following months. Maybe 1-2 more songs will be either released or played during European leg this summer - the show definitely should start receiving some upgrades. At least one big single together with album release in September or October. Then they announce some new tour dates for 2025. This is my Moon Music theory, which probably is going to be wrong again, but I'll see soon enough. 😆

Can someone tell more about the background of those leaks, for example what are Jupiter and Moon Music demos? Are these also supposed to be legit leaks or some fake stuff?

Haven't made out any lyrics. At least a few clips I heard are so echoey, could barely hear the vocals and vocal melody. I guess we need the official release or live debut for lyrics.

Yes, same song heard again during soundcheck today. There were some recordings from the fans in queue outside the stadium like yesterday.

I noticed some comment on Twitter from someone who was apparently working on stadium and they they suggested it was just Coldplay's crew doing soundcheck. I'm not sure what to believe. Would be funny if the whole fandom was fooled by that.

For sure we can say it is something new, whether it's an idea still in development or an actual finished new song ready to be released and played, when the time is right. Nevertheless it's making me excited for Moon Music. It sounds really epic and beautiful, with great long instrumentals. Some hints of Death and All His Friends and the heaviness of Politik in the end. Seems like it's a full band song, where they all go all in on their instruments, which I absolutely love. Jonny is absolutely shredding it beautifully and Will is smashing!

Everything that is not officially confirmed is a rumour. Now we know that we can't trust Chris, but Guy is innocent until proven quilty. 😆

At this point I'm thinking it's very possible the tour goes into 2025, whether the album is released in May or September. I hope it's released in May of course, like Chris said on the ColdplayXtra fan meetup, but with the new ideas still being recorded and written I somehow get the feeling of further delay. Initially Chris had said they would play some new material on 2023 US dates, but that didn't happen and somehow fans even thought the album is released at the beginning of 2023 - that's a long time ago now. So that's why I'm quite pessimistic and don't trust what Chris says in interviews. 😆

Seems like they keep delaying Moon Music. Weren't there rumours about it being released in September now? For me it doesn't look like they are finishing with it, because they keep writing and recording new songs forever. 😄 I think at best we can expect a single in May maybe, not the album.
