  1. That's not really Famous Old Painters though. It's made by some fan.
  2. Probably Guy, he runs in marathons and loves soccer (Or I guess it's football to him. Silly american:laugh3:) Who is the biggest outdoorsman?
  3. Violet Hill 16 Viva la Vida 12 Christmas Lights 2
  4. What do you mean "Was a Coldplay fan"? And if you're judging the JUST off the album How to Save a Life then you need to go listen to some more stuff. I didn't like the Fray that much in 2005 either because most of How to Save a Life was pretty dull. But their self-titled album is amazing! Absolute, Never say Never, Enough for Now, or We Build Then We Break. Listen to any of those songs and I almost guarantee you'll change your mind!
  5. Every Teardrop is a Waterfall
  6. This is going to confuse a lot of people but it was I Ran Away :D, My cousin from England came to the U.S. once a year and he was a Coldplay fanatic (He actually used to have an account on here). He was the one that introduced me to Coldplay because I walked in the room he was staying in and I Ran Away was playing on my dad's old turntable. I liked it and listened to the whole thing probably 15 times before he left, every single song on it was magic to me. I'm sure I heard Yellow or Trouble or one of the Parachutes singles before that but I was too young to remember.
  7. The entire album can be streamed on iTunes now. IT SOUNDS AMAZING!!! Currently the best album released in 2012.
  8. All radio stations are different. The 2 hit radios I listen to (Which I don't listen to a lot because I get very close to breaking it when LMFAO comes on. I DESPISE THEM WITH EVERY FIBER OF MY BEING) play Paradise and PoC a lot (PoC more). They even dedicated October 23rd to Coldplay and played there songs all day. Possibly the first time Thing's I Don't Understand has ever been played on the radio :surprised:
  9. Paradise was already in the top 10 here in America. For about a week it was 2, in fact. And you only have to listen to the radio for about 10 minutes on most hits stations to hear Paradise (Or Every Teardrop is a Waterfall for that matter). But I would enjoy to see it hit the top 10 again.
  10. I know this isn't really Coldplay related. But I know that every Coldplay fan should like The Fray as well (Not as much as Coldplay of course). Has anyone else preordered Scars and Stories? I'm really excited about it and I'm getting the limited edition release signed by the band, too. It should go well with my ETIAW 7 inch signed by Jonny.
  11. I understand what you're saying. I'm pretty sure it doesn't make a difference which I do I just wanted to know if it made any real difference in the sound of the bass or anything.
  12. U just brought back up one of the BIGGEST topics that's been buzzing around since MX's release. They should probably make a subforum for it soon because there are pages just like this everywhere.
  13. I know Christmas Lights isn't a viva single. But since it's not on any album, just in that awkward gap between LP4 and LP5, I decided it should be put here. But since it's not Christmas anymore I see no reason to keep it in the game Violet Hill 14 Viva la Vida 13 Christmas Lights 3
  14. This doesn't really have anything to do with a Coldplay song. But I couldn't find it anywhere else so I thought a bass player on here would know. I got a bass for Christmas and I've been teaching myself but I'm confused about something. Do you really need to strech all four (Or even 3) fingers out across the fretboard to play one note? I've tried playing it that way and just putting one finger on a fret at a time and they sound exactly the same. But seemingly everyone puts uses all 4. Is it really important to do that or is it like using a pick or your fingers and it doesn't make a difference which way I play it.
  15. Well I never really felt any urge to make one so I just photoshopped Coldplay in their original logo font onto a can of Axe spray deodorant.
  16. Heck, it's better than the one I have.
  17. How do I unsubscribe from the mailing list? No offense it's just my roommate's very strict about that kind of stuff.
  18. Moving to Mars in this world
  19. I heard The Scientist play at the end of Criminal Minds (For non-americans which makes up a lot of you, Criminal Minds is the best show EVARRR). The funniest though was last Sunday I was in church and Paradise accidentally started playing through the speakers as we were about to pray. I managed to keep myself together till service let out (Although the song was stuck in both mine and the pastors head till the end) but the second I got out the door I nearly died laughing!
