he said that lp7 would be the completion of a story. so doubt that it has anything to do with the label. maybe they would do a radical genre jump. that would be interesting.

anyone else picked up on the 'we are now recording lp7, lps 1-7 will be like a series, i don't know what will happen after lp7' comments from the siriusxm interview?

the performances were awesome! the least fave being asfos. wish the interviewer handled it better though. overall a pertty awesome show. but how good was o? man.. that song specially performed alone is like a punch in the gut.

that's exactly the point. we are music snobs. but chris has said that he doesn't want to be that guy. so what we may think of as 'selling out', he/coldplay may see differently. so i don't think they loose integrity in their eyes. but would you feel the same way about any duet? what if he dueted with win butler on a coldplay album?

are you really suggesting this? remember how people reacted when chris' solo ny gig was announced? don't think many will be happy not to mention coldplay themselves. their unity is one of their very attractive qualities. i for one never liked rihanna collabs myself, but with the last couple of albums it has been clear that coldplay will do what they want. not necessarily what their fans (of their older material) want. and we have to understand that they will be who they want to be and not necessarily what we want them to be.

Coldplay’s Chris Martin Goes Solo in NYC Chris Martin from Coldplay stopped by a small club in New York City for a very intimate solo performance last night. Get the whole scoop on the special show! As Martin took the stage at The Box, he was in great spirits, even recognizing a fan in the crowd that he had met earlier in the day in an elevator. The Coldplay frontman kicked his set off with “Always In My Head” from the album Ghost Stories, before launching into a set featuring many of Coldplay’s biggest hits such as “Clocks,” “Viva La Vida” and “Paradise.” But this set was more than just the hits– Chris definitely had some fun in store, as well.
