there is promise in the songs (except the one charting. too bad..) this might be polished up nicely. but a bit too repetitive on a first listen. nice that only the chainsmokers song is more similar to ahfod. fingers crossed the 3 we haven't heard (that well) will end up being more or less broody, atmospherics.

mind fucking blown! played for 2 hrs 20 mins. crowd got the band to come out for an unplanned (not on setlist) 3rd encore. fake plastic trees!

quite a few good points. i feel like chris was much more dominant in the early days than he is now. without a question he is the dominant leader there. like @nvdmm mentioned, brian eno definitely broke that mold. and we got the most musically cohesive, but diverse and progressed album. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=1Fsk3sQyZt8;m=41;s=3 Mobile Link: https://youtu.be/1Fsk3sQyZt8?t=41m3s (how strange is it that this is leading up to mx and a few of us would consider that the start of the downward spiral?) i still think coldplay learned a lot from the time with brian eno and one of those is probably band dynamics. but from the beginning i remember seeing quotes from will for example how the band ran on chris' drive and his doom or sunshine personality. as the whole band grew up, all of them seem to have settled on to content lives. chris doesn't seem that driven any more (still very driven) and not out to prove anything, like they were until mx. can you imagine last decade's coldplay doing that superbowl show? it sure has hurt the band output. and a mindset like "But in terms of writing, I think it’s about not judging what comes through. why not wait until we actually see what the objectives of these trips are? seriously. it's getting pretty tiring. and @Safy trying to allege that coldplay never visited palestine doesn't help when chris and jonny mentioned several times they were visitng "israel and palestine". none of us were there. all we have is their word and multiple articles saying they did visit both. let's just chill and wait for the ep. or actual news on these trips/outcomes.

have a feeling that was never meant to be. as in chris always takes the blame, whether it is actually his fault or not. didn't believe the chris overslept excuse then and more so now. looks like the band was never meant to be featured.

I have a feeling that miracles 2 would be a totally new song. Maybe reusing the title because Chris is in such a miracle-y mood lately. If not, bummer. The biggest let down being having the Chainsmokers song on the ep.

i've been looping this song since i woke up and that the first time i've done that since ghost story :) good song. wish chris worked on the chorus a bit more. "i'm hyp.. hypnotised..." but for the most part, it is sunrise all right, after the dark something just like this.

Chris as a songwriter maybe going the Benjamin Button route. Hope not.
