you may think it is a bad thing, but that is part of growing up i think. the mike stand is a sign that he is not comfortable singing the more longing songs alone, projecting to the crowd. he mentioned that during the voice, that the mike stand helps him. i think he is the same person, but more mature, comfortable in his own skin. changing is part of human nature. maybe this is part of what he was alluding to when he said that "you have to grow up from your insecurities when those start to hurt the loved ones around you" in the zane lowe interview.

thought this was interesting. from today's oracle so the chances are chris is recording in LA and collaborating with the rest of the band in london, since they haven't been at the bakery/beehive together in ages.

i'll be ok with bright and happy, as long as it is not forced like in mx. hoping for something new for coldplay, but like mentioned before, don't think the band would take chances with a big final blowout record before whatever the next chapter is.

chris said in that long zane interview they worked with madeon on a song too happy for GS. guess we will see that in lp7.

the only thing i would say to all those putting most if not all the blame on things coldplay seem (in their eyes) to be doing wrong on chris is this: coldplay have stressed again and again how they are a democracy. you can clearly see the importance of their founding principles when you see falling/breaking bands time and again. no way chris would do anything that the other members wholeheartedly disapprove. afterall chris does represent coldplay as the frontman and coldplay >>>>> chris or any individual in the band. based on how they have been in the band i would say each and every member is well aware of this. just wanted to say this since i have seen a tendency of blaming everything fans think is wrong with the band on chris. just my opinion. no way we know the reality.

it's not just coldplay. a lot of musicians have taken part in this campaign. if you ask me, this whole raising awareness with changing profile pics is a pretty lame campaign for a for-profit relatively new company. i mean all the hoopla about being part of changing the music history is ....
