your love song of 2004
Jeff Buckley - Forget Her While this town is busy sleeping And all the noise has died away I walk the streets to stop my weeping Cos she'll never change her ways Don't fool yourself She was heartache from the moment that you met her My heart feels so still As I try to find the will to forget her somehow Oh I think I've forgotten her now Her love is a rose dead and dying Dropping her petals and man, I know All full of wine the world before her But sober with no place to go Don't fool yourself She was heartache from the moment that you met her My heart is frozen still As I try to find the will to forget her somehow She's somewhere out there now Oh, my tears falling down as I tried to forget The love was a joke from the day that we met All of the words all of her men All of my pain when I think back to when Remember her hair as it shone in the sun It was there on the bed when I knew what she'd done Tell yourself over and over you wont ever need her again But don't fool yourself She was heartache from the moment that you met her Oh, my heart is frozen still As I try to find the will to forget her somehow She's out there somewhere now Oh, she was heartache from the day that I first met her My heart is frozen still As I try to find the will to forget you somehow Cos I know you're somewhere out there right now

Lyrics
Jeff Buckley - Eternal Life (Road Version) There's no time for hatred Only questions What is love? Where is happiness? What is life? Where is peace? When will I find the strength to bring me release? Eternal life is on my trail Got my red glitter coffin and I just need one last nail While all these ugly gentlemen play out their foolish games There's a flaming red horizon that screams our names And as your fantasies are broken in two Did you really think this bloody road would pave the way for you? You'd better turn around and blow your kiss hello To life eternal, angel Racist everyman what have you done? Man, you've made a killer of your unborn son Crown my fear your king at the point of a gun All I wanna do is love everyone And as your fantasies are broken in two Did you really think this bloody road would pave the way for you? You'd better turn around and blow your kiss hello To life eternal, oh Bow down before the black whale of death Death by the rapists of white noise Of the world What is love? Where is happiness? What is life? Where is peace? When will I find the strength to bring me release? Tell me, where is the love in what your prophet has said? Well, it sounds to me just like a prison for the walking dead And when you've got no more of your religion to sell Then I've got a message for you and your twisted hell You'd better turn around and blow your kiss goodbye To life eternal, angel

when i turn off my amp it makes noises.
Your cousin probably has a valve amp (or a "tube amp" as you call them in the US). Valve amps have "standby" modes. Valve amps shouldn't be turned on straight away into full power mode, because it damages the valves and they'll be more likely to fail. Valves have components inside them which heat them up. This creates an ideal environment for them to operate in as well as possible. If you put them into full power mode without letting them warm up first, it damages these components and the life of the valves will be cut short. If you put it into "standby" mode for a few minutes beforehand, the valves heat up so the valves last a lot longer. If you do this, valves can last a year or maybe more. If not, they will probably last a few months at the most. You don't need to worry about it with solid-state amps.

when i turn off my amp it makes noises.
the "wooden spoon against a floor tile" sound (which I'm assuming sounds like a loud 'click') is probably the amp cutting the output to the speaker and if you have a fan inside your amp (you'll probably be able to see it in the back) that would probably be the "winding down" noise. if you don't, then i'm slightly confused. has it only just started happening recently, or has it been there since you bought it? if it's always been there, then I wouldn't worry about it. otherwise, I'd get it checked out.

Lyrics
Doves - There Goes The Fear Out of here, we're out of here Out of heartache along with fear There goes the fear again There goes the fear And cars speed fast out of here And life goes past again so near There goes the fear again There goes the fear Close your brown eyes And lay down next to me Close your eyes, lay down There goes the fear, let it go You turn around and life's passed you by You look to ones you love to ask them why You look to those you love to justify You turn around and life's passed you by Passed you by again Late last night, makes up her mind Another fight left behind There goes the fear again There goes the fear Close your brown eyes And lay down next to me Close your eyes, lay down There goes the fear, let it go You turn around and life's passed you by You look to ones you love to ask them why You look to those you love to justify You turn around and life's passed you by Think of me when you're coming down But don't look back when leaving town Think of me when you he's calling out But don't look back when leaving town Think of me when you close your eyes But don't look back when you break all ties Think of me when you're coming down But don't look back when leaving town today There goes the fear again Let it go There goes the fear Let it go Think of me when you close your eyes But don't look back when you break all ties Think of me when you're coming down But don't look back when leaving town today

2004: The year of a Dead Christmas
I've grown quite bored of Christmas I love the whole atmosphere that surrounds it, but Christmas Day just feels like any other day to me now. I've come to the stage where I prefer Boxing Day, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. And it does seem pretty watered down this year. It still doesn't feel like Christmas yet.

what do u lyk d most of out these?
If I have to choose, I'd say Green Day but I'd rather not listen to any of them
-
Monty Python Movies
I prefer The Holy Grail. The drawings crack me up - especially the bit with the jumping sun and clouds disrupting the artist. ...and of course, it has the immortal line: "Oh, what terrible times are these when passers-by can say 'Ni' to old women at will?"

Rage Against The Machine
I never really took the time to get into them properly, but they are indeed a great band.

Christmas Shoppers are MAD!
- Christmas Shoppers are MAD!
I would've told her to fuck off. but then that's just me :blank:- The nominations for the 2005 Golden Globes
comedy? i thought it was more of a drama myself. it had a few funny bits, but not enough to class it as a comedy. still, it should win the award anyway, because it's fantastic. and Jim Carrey should get best actor.- What would you do If Santa got stuck up the chimney?
Yeah, I'm just swell. I haven't been around here very much lately. I've got shitloads of work to do for uni. I've gotta have a piece of music written, recorded and fully mixed by Friday. I'm mixing it as we speak, but I'm spending pretty much all my free time at the moment trying to get it done. And as if that isn't enough, I have a performance to plan for Thursday as well. Ah well, after this week I have a month off, so I can relax again. :) - Christmas Shoppers are MAD!
