  1. Yeah, Dmaj9/F# is correct. A/F# would be 2x2220 As for its fingering... Use your little finger on the B string, your next finger on the G string, and your middle finger on the bottom E string.
  2.  this is the best one I've seen so far "Michel Brownie"
  3. Johnny Cash - Hurt
  4. I know what you're thinking But I'm not your property No matter what you say No matter what you say Radiohead - Gagging Order
  5. always the right thing to say ;)
  6. Ask any man to speak in a woman's voice, and 9 times out of 10 they will use falsetto. It's another register of a man's voice which allows him to speak and sing in a higher pitch... think Justin Hawkins of The Darkness. Chris Martin uses falsetto a lot. Just a few examples:- "yeah we do, yeah we do" in Don't Panic "nobody said it was easy" in The Scientist "I know that everything's not lost" in Everything's Not Lost "so I crawl back into your open arms" in Warning Sign Jeff Buckley and Thom Yorke are two other good examples of singers who use falsetto often.
  7. Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell Favourite movie? Pulp Fiction
  8. Don't Look Back Into The Sun Boys In The Band Up The Bracket Can't Stand Me Now What Became Of The Likely Lads? Time For Heroes they're all great tunes
  9. there are lots of people here that like Oasis I fucking love them. They're one of my favourite bands. But they've been going downhill since Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants. Noel's turned into a pretentious dickhead over the last few years. Liam, on the other hand, is one of the coolest people ever.
  10. Radiohead - Lurgee I feel better I feel better now you're gone I got better I got better, I got strong I feel better I feel better now there's nothing wrong I got better I got better, I got strong Tell me something Tell me something I don't know Tell me one thing Tell me one thing and let it go I got something I got something heaven knows I got something I got something I don't know
  11. Well, I've been trying to upload some of my songs, but it's not working because the network I'm connected through has a pretty strict firewall on it . But I have a cover I did ages ago of Myxomatosis by Radiohead on my webspace. This isn't by my band, this is just me, but it's better than nothing. click I'll upload my band's stuff when I can find a way to do it.
  12. DJ Shadow - Blood On The Motorway And now - eternity Be still now I am with you I am deep within you You are at peace You cannot be harmed You will not suffer Breathe deeply Breathe in the healing love of the universe And breathe out the sickness which has taken you I am with you It's easy It's like breathing It's like a heartbeat It's easy You have not betrayed your ideals Your ideals betrayed you What are you gonna do? Your eyes will not close Your tongue barely speaks But I can still feel you I can still feel you So come, come relax Grin, let the changes in Come on, come on, relax Grin, let the laughter Let the laughter Let the laughter begin Relax, grin, let the changes in Time is done The sun has gone It's too late Eternity has come
  13. I'm in a band called 'Goodge Street', named after a place in London near Oxford Street. I sing and play guitar. here's a picture of the sleeve from a CD we recently recorded. click I would post a link to our recordings, but I'd have to convert the CD tracks to MP3's and then upload them, which is too much effort. :P We sound like Oasis and BRMC. We used to play just covers, but now we write our own stuff as well - I'm one of two songwriters in the band. Some of the songs we've covered: * The Strokes - Reptilia, The Modern Age, Someday, Barely Legal * Radiohead - Creep * Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Whatever Happened To My Rock 'n' Roll? * Oasis - Supersonic * The Datsuns - Harmonic Generator We haven't actually played a proper gig in some time (a year ago). Everyone's at uni now, so it's a little harder to get things organised.
  14. Radiohead - Gagging Order I know what you're thinking But I'm not your property No matter what you say No matter what you say Move along, nothing left to see Just a body, nothing left to see A couple more for breakfast A little more for tea Just to take the edge off Just to take the edge off Move along, nothing left to see Just a body, pouring down the street Move along, nothing left to see Just a body, nothing left to see Move along
  15. I'd heard of Sigur Ròs but I hdan't heard anything by them before. That was until I noticed people on the board saying how good '( )' is. So I went and bought it. ...and it's one of the best albums I've ever heard.
  16. Jeff Buckley - What Will You Say? It's been such a long time And I was just a child then What will you say when you see my face? Time feels like it's flown away The days just pass and fade away What will you say when they take my place? It's funny now I just don't feel like a man What will you say when you see my face? Mother dear, the world's gone cold No one cares about love anymore What will you say when you see my face? Father do you hear me? Do you know me? Do you even care? What will you say when they take my place? My heart can't take this anymore What will you say when you see my face? When you see my, see my face I can feel your time crawling To a slow end I can feel my time crawling To a slow end Mother dear, the world's gone cold No one cares about love anymore What will you say when you see my face? Father do you hear me? Do you know me? Did you even care? What will you say when you take my place? Well it's so funny now I just don't feel like I'm a man What will you say?
  17. It's probably been mentioned several times already, but I now find '( )' by Sigur Ròs the perfect album to fall asleep to.
  18. I prefer Definitely Maybe. While Champagne Supernova is by far my favourite Oasis song, it isn't enough to tip the scales.
  19. Sigur Ròs - ( ) 10/10
  20. I've done fuck all today I've been up since 8:15 waiting for my new PC to arrive. I was promised it would be here this week. If it doesn't arrive today then I'm screwed, cos I need it before I go to uni on Sunday.
