  1. What really bugs is that the guy says they just attend award shows. Just, attend award shows? The two bands that are most heavily involved in bettering the worst parts of world by supporting admirable organizations, and they just attend award shows. Wow.. for him to have the face to say something like that speaks so low of him. Meh.. it's obvious to me that line refers to someone that does amazing or grand things for him, and those actions made him "see where he was going wrong." Though.. even if one doesn't see the metaphor, one line doesn't mean the entire song doesn't make sense.
  2. OMFG Nadia. That made me tear up for some unknown reason! And I'm sooo not a crier... it's just perfect. And now I'm thinking the words become more powerful when one reads them instead of just hearing them, even? Loveee it. Amazing job!!
  3. Boomslang.. you deserve a medal. That's awesome, I loveeee it  The sound byte idea sounds great too Nads, so exciting! :cheesy: I'll be collecting possible images too, should they be a certain size and/or quality? Anyone know?
  4. ^Gawd woman, could you be any more obsessed?! :laugh4: :laugh4: Bless! So yeah.. I'll be watching :sneaky:
  5. Yes Coldplay wrote it for Johnny Cash, definitely theirs. And it's not listed because it's a hidden track.
  6. That's some amazing interest and dedication FluMTonks! :cheesy: A page that briefly explains what CCC is about sounds like a great idea. We already have one for The $1.36 Campaign (that links to the CCC section at the bottom) if you'd like to direct them there in the meantime!
  7. I don't really like Kanye, he's way too cocky for his own boots.. but he is really good at what he does. I can't wait to hear the collab!

I had to look it up too! Something like a nursery.. according to dictionary.com, anyhow.
  9. That's way nice! My high school yearbooks never featured any cool bands like that..
  10. NME should rename the article to something like.. "For sale: Chris Martin's Services" I totally had the wrong idea for a second there! :laugh4::wink3:
  11. Whatever your opinion on the album lyrically is your opinion and quite irrelevant in this thread, really... I just think it's pointless to have preconcieved notions and limits on how an artist should behave while performing. I'm quite glad Chris says he couldn't care less if folks bash him for that. And seriously Nik, how could you not like that?! :laugh4:
  12. Bush's best moment in office? Reeling in big perch BERLIN (Reuters) - U.S. President George W. Bush told a German newspaper his best moment in more than five years in office was catching a big perch in his own lake. "You know, I've experienced many great moments and it's hard to name the best," Bush told weekly Bild am Sonntag when asked about his high point since becoming president in January 2001. "I would say the best moment of all was when I caught a 7.5 pound (3.402 kilos) perch in my lake," he told the newspaper in an interview published on Sunday. Bush said the worst moment was September 11 when hijacked planes crashed into the World Trade Centre in New York and the Pentagon in Washington. "In such a situation it takes a while before one understands what is happening," Bush said. "I would say that this was the hardest moment, once I had the real picture before my eyes." Because Bild could not immediately furnish English quotes, Bush's comments were translated from the German. The paper said the White House planned to release an authorised English version of the interview on Monday. So Bush's 5 years in office and the highlight of his presidency was catching a big fish? Sounds about right.
