  1. I know it's a such a pain, but this made me laugh. They should record this! :D:guitarist:
  2. A moldplayer? :shocked2: I have strange pictures in my head. :D Where does that name originate from (it's not this kind of mold, is it)? I guess I'm still just...a fan.
  3. Oh yes, it is! :dazzled: I love how Chris is so enthusiastic about the Parisian audience and I can feel so clearly how much the guys are enjoying themselves. HLH was such a great opener. Maybe my favourite (in a field of many tough contenders). I don't like the studio version of it, because it sounds much more empty and the voice effect does nothing for me. For me it's a song that was meant to be enjoyed live. I always listen to the live versions therefore. Ah, I could go on for hours... Kind of sad that this won't ever be an opener again. I hope they at least unpack it for other spots on the setlist some day.
  4. Yeah, check your local listings. It's been shown here in Germany for several years now and getting superb audience ratings for something that is in the middle of the night. And I agree, it will be very well-oiled. Can't wait to see what they come up with!
  5. Damn those guys, they can never get anything right. :wink2::hug: I'm kind of looking forward to Chris messing something up and producing a funny scene (nothing major, just a little thing, please). It wouldn't be him otherwise. :D Luckily they're showing the Super Bowl here in Germany on TV. Had hoped to take the Monday off in order to not be a zombie at work, but two co-workers were faster and had already taken the day off. They're watching for the game, though (or at least that's what they claimed - maybe they secretly are Coldplay fans).
  6. My thoughts exactly. :)
  7. I recently had a dream in which Chris Martin (!) and Lionel Richie (?) came to the company I work for and gave music lessons to all the employees. Unfortunately, I ended up in Lionel Richie's class. :laugh4:
  8. That's exactly what I thought of, too! He has a lot of interesting things to say. Keep them coming, Guy! :wink3:
  9. Sweet! I love that taxi.
  10. Yeah, the setup and prices seem more unfair. :(
  11. It was one of the plans that got posted on Ticketmaster at the first day of German pre-sales, but they later took them down and replaced them with more generic ones. Can't know for sure if it's the actual one, but I guess it could be. So far it seems that the runway will go through all of GA for at least a couple of, if not all European shows. For the UK shows there are differently coloured sections and for London the Ticketmaster plan says: "Pitch Standing/Unreserved Seats will be split into two areas green and yellow zones (no movement allowed between the two areas)."
  12. I was wondering about the stage layout for North America. Looks like they might be assembling the stage we saw for the European shows differently. This is what some stadium plans for Europe looked like before they replaced it with more generic ones: Looks like maybe they're taking the second half of the runway leading up to the C stage and attach it to the stage directly for NA, so there's not the division of the floor.
  13. Nah, I'm alright here, thanks. :D So excited - only a bit more than a week.
  14. British people are only allowed to walk along British beaches in rainy, British weather. :D The colourfulness of the video is making me happy and yet it also has some kind of introspective atmosphere that I really enjoy.
  15. Oh, how beautiful! Maybe this event can finally make me like Fix You. :D
  16. Loving it! So beautifully shot! :dazzled: Makes me want to go to India and experience this wonderful culture and its people.
  17. That's why many artist (including Coldplay in the past) hold back tickets for the first few rows and give them away to enthusiastic people in cheaper sections. I imagine they might do something like that again. Must be a bit sad for the band as well when there are less enthusiastic people in the front rows, just because they were able to pay more (must not always correlate, of course). Wishing everybody trying for tickets today much luck!
  18. I'm not sure how the code system will work exactly. Just be careful with publicly posted codes. They might work for the initial order, but might get cancelled later if the ticket companies are checking the codes and see that the same unique code was used by different people for different orders. Happened to a friend of mine once and she lost the tickets. If they are not checking them or if a code becomes automatically invalid once somebody used it, then that's okay. But I guess we don't know that at the moment. Wouldn't want anybody to go through that disappointment with getting orders cancelled. Hope you can find someone who might give you their code privately. :)
  19. :dazzled: (I swear I'm not a teenager anymore.)
  20. I was thinking, I'd like to hear this song in an epic gut-punching remix as an intermission during the tour. Could be a nice divider between different elements and stage setups. A bit like U2 used the Gavin Friday remix of 'The Fly' during the i+e tour. Just a silly thought... :wink3:
  21. You know, I would like that actually. :D
  22. Cool find, thank you! :) I love silly statistics that take you nowhere really, but still satisfy a strange need you never knew you had. I recently compiled stats for the Coldplay shows I've been to (I clearly had too much time on my hands and things to avoid). So now I know that I've been to 20 concerts in 2 countries, in 10 different cities and 17 venues. They played 363 songs in total, 81 different songs overall. Most songs (26%) were from AROBTTH, Clocks being the most played one (at all the shows), followed by GPASUYF, The Scientist and Yellow (all 18x). Longest setlist had 24 songs, the shortest just 11. Biggest show was London Emirates Stadium (ca. 60,000) and the smallest the London gig in front of the BBC building (ca. 600). Yeah, I know...nobody ever wanted to know that. :D We should make a stats corner, so we can be nerdy together. I'd love to hear more!
  23. Cannot wait! :bliss: Now that Adele has already done the Spice Girls, Chris needs to come up with something real good! :wink3: James Corden is a darling.
  24. I own a guitar, a keyboard, a harmonica, and a tin whistle...and can play none. :D
