[2015-12-17] Coldplaying Asks Coldplay - The Batman Interview
This is awesome! Thank you so much for the interview, but also for letting us be a part of your exciting journey! So happy for you, Batman! :)

**COLDPLAYING EXCLUSIVE** Stay tuned...
I looked at the photo again and I think I figured it out: It's Batman, Will and Guy interviewing the gingerbread man on the table. That fellow must have given a damn funny answer! That is indeed very exclusive and unique. :D

Whoa, you guys know how to do suspense! Sounds, looks, feels awesome so far! I'm intrigued, lol!

When will the North American tour of AHFOD happen?
For the MX tour they played Tampa, Miami and Atlanta during the second North America leg. For the Viva La Vida tour they came to Atlanta, Orlando and Sunrise as part of the first tour part and then to West Palm Beach and Atlanta again later in 2009. I'm very sure they will include Florida and maybe Georgia again. Hope you get to see them! :)

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
I think I have noticed it, but I had no way to put it into words. Now that I read your post, some of my feelings make much more sense. :)

U2
I always had a bit of a hard time getting into their early 80s stuff, because I became a fan that much later, but after this tour I went back to rediscover Boy, October and War. 'Out Of Control' might have even been my favorite song live this year. So much energy! I was super exhausted from all the singing and jumping afterwards and it was just the second song. :D

This is called...wait...torture! :D

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
I know this is a somewhat unpopular opinion, but I love this album and it's the best early Christmas gift the guys could have given me (well, along with the concert in Offenbach). I'm not sure how I'll see this album in a couple of years, but right now it makes me happy and introspective at the same time. Yeah, I'm weird. (<- actual depiction of me :D) I wish I would have remembered to make one of the custom covers for the album I'm giving away as a Christmas present. But of course I remembered when it was already wrapped.

Rate the latest movie you've seen
I want to see Star Wars VII and know the general outline of the Star Wars story, but I know nothing about any details. I'm afraid I'll be too confused. Everything about it looks good, though. Watched "Carol" yesterday. All the reviews I saw had high praise, but I thought it was pretty average. Unfortunately I didn't really get into it emotionally. 4/10

Uh, so exciting! It surely is Batman idolising baby lions - with a romantic soundtrack written by Coldplay. *cute baby lion roar*

Thank you, guys! And yes, she's great. A Coldplay fan as well, of course. Well she had no choice.

Random Coldplay thoughts...
Oh dear. *blushes* Well, thank you. :) I just remembered that for one of my earliest concerts, my mum had to call my school and tell them I'm sick when I was really 500 km away from home enjoying myself at the concert (thank you, Mum!). I wore the Coldplay shirt I had bought there in school the next day and everybody knew. So stupid, lol. :D

Only 3 concerts in Germany?
Nothing is confirmed, so it's just speculation, but there will likely be a second European leg later in the year (maybe arenas then?) serving some of the cities (e.g. Paris) and countries (Italy, Ireland, Poland, etc.) which are not part of the first leg at the moment.

Well, not quite, lol. I believe the message boards here already existed back in 2001 or 2002. Ancient internet times. But yeah, my early fan days date back to a time when I still got blank stares after mentioning Coldplay as my favourite band. But that changed quickly and later I mostly got rolled eyes. :D But hey, 200 posts in nearly 13 years. I smell a record... ;)

Coldplay Interview: Pilar Zeta (AHFOD artwork creator)
Awesome interview, thank you very much! So lovely hearing more about how they put the artwork together. Pilar sounds wonderful. Can't wait to see more childhood pics. :D

Hymn for the Weekend
In Offenbach I thought the live version was ace as well. The beat, whoa! For a moment I wondered whether I still was at a Coldplay gig, because the song has such a different vibe, but it made me feel so great and happy. Can't wait to hear it live again!

Random Coldplay thoughts...
Curently I'm thinking a lot about how grateful I am to have this band as a part of my life. They've been with me for 14 years now (nothing else in this time has lasted this long) and went with me through the hard, sad, the joyous and colourful times. Their music conserves all these times and memories that go with them for me. Never would I have thought that this special relationship from buying Parachutes in a tiny record store in Berlin as a 15-year-old and having the words "living life inside a bubble" taped in big letters over my childhood room door - to today with a fundamentally different life as an adult, different feelings and such a different album, would last this long. After my first Coldplay concert in 2002 (I was 16 and my parents had to drive me 400 km :D) I cried a whole day, because I thought I might never see them again and could never relive the magic I had just felt. Little did I know... Everything changed, but they remained my constant. I could always go back to their music and it gave me comfort and the feeling of being 'home'. Therefore I just wanted to shout out: I LOVE THIS BAND! I can't wait for the summer tour to start and make more and more happy memories with them together. :)

I am currently listening to....
The new Saybia album, thanks to Jedi Leo! What a superb piece of music. Like a warm, gentle hug.

Army of One
LOL! The count stands at 52 right now. :D And yes to your other words.

Random Coldplay thoughts...
Yeah, I had the thought during Viva as well. :D And just like for you, Clocks never made it to that category for me. It's the only song they played at all the 20 gigs I've been to, but I can't even imagine getting tired of it. For me it's the rocking live rendition as well. And the lasers!

U2
You guys made me listen to Pop again after a long time, too. Emotionally it's not amongst my faves (I became a fan afterwards with ATYCLB and it was the last one of their back catalogue I bought), but it is a great album with some unique sounds. The i+e tour really was maginificent! I had only seen them in stadiums before and although the shows were always impressive and I loved hearing all those masterpieces, it was only during my shows of the recent tour that I became aware of what U2 can really do on stage. The magic that is there. The shows felt so grand and yet so intimate in the arenas. The stage design was impressing without just being a gimmick. I loved who they managed to set a theme and actually tell a story throughout the show (well, except during the encore block maybe). I saw three shows (Berlin I & II, Cologne II) and never wanted them to end. Berlin I (Zoo Station, yay!) and Berlin II were already awesome, but Cologne II truly was an out-of-this-world experience. I still can't describe or grasp what happened inside this room that night, but it was pure magic and I think the band felt it, too. Maybe the best concert I've ever been to. Being a Coldplay AND U2 fan isn't easy, though. I always get shit for it. :D

Thank you for making me feel better about my horrible little secret. :D I can't really remember whether I liked the song when the album came out. Maybe the problem is more of a wear-out effect. Even on tour I always feel like I've heard it too many times. Though, I guess I found and still find it hard to connect with most of the X&Y songs for different reasons.

Colour Spectrum
I really like this interpretation! :)

Will's Drumming in AHFOD
Very good post and thoughts, gentleparachute! Makes me want to re-listen to the album and only focus on the drums. :) I really like the rhythm section of this album - Will and Guy both have their moments to shine and heavily influence the overall sound.

Army of One
I thought by now I'd be a little tired of this song (it's the one I listened to most often), but I'm not and it's still infusing me with happiness every time I listen to it. Whether it's a quality tune per se - I don't know, who am I to judge? But it makes me feel something and that's what makes it great for me. :)
