1. That special ginger snowflake.
2. Oh yes, I'm in love with the jacket as well! :dazzled: Even my boss (who is not a Coldplay fan) commented on it on Monday: "That jacket that the guy on bass was wearing was mighty awesome!"
3. Hey Paul - welcome to the forum, fellow U2 fan! :) Pretty cool that the Super Bowl performance got you more interested. Nice to hear this can still happen. Many here felt that AHFOD (the track) had a lot of U2 vibes, so maybe that's what got you hooked. Hope you get to experience them live! I personally don't believe that this will be their last tour. Just an end to a chapter of some sort for the band. Maybe they'll be taking a longer break after the tour. It's also likely that there will be a second European tour leg later in 2016 or maybe 2017.
4. By now I really like freaking some people out with my "Coldplay" answer. So funny watching reactions. :D Got a bunch of new colleagues at work last year and they laughed at me for being a fan. By now they've actually started admiring me for sticking with my favourite band so much, being so positively fangirl-crazy, and not taking myself or the band too seriously. The amount of conversations they have started with me about Coldplay is truly worrisome. For them. :laugh4:
5. Wow, thank you so much for your detailed report! :) I could feel your excitement through your words and felt so happy for you just reading it. What an amazing experience - an adventure of a lifetime for sure!
6. Hey Batman! (*sings* BAT-MAN!!!) I'm going on my own and have a FOS 1 right side ticket. I'd be willing to swap if it can make somebody happy. Would it be okay to swap at the day of the concert in front of the stadium? I'll be in Gelsenkirchen around noon that day and get in the queue. Just drop me a PM, if you like. :)
7. Yeah, that's what I thought, too.
8. Thank you! Another lovely glimpse into his mind and personality. I always feel inspired by him. And that comparison between the Rumi poem and Inside Out by the writer made me laugh. It's kind of true. :D
9. Oh, and have you all already seen this? I can't stop laughing. :D Guess it's exactly what it would sound like without the music. Mobile Link: https://www.facebook.com/PetitJournalYannBarthes/videos/1057042604338937/?fref=nf
10. Just watched it again and: :dazzled: How well Fix You and Up&Up went together. Still also liking Beyoncè & Bruno.
11. I truly loved it and I'm still smiling. For me, Beyoncé and Bruno didn't steal the show. Despite being worried upfront because of Bey playing her new single, what I saw in the end was a collaborative effort that Coldplay held together beautifully. They orchestrated the overall message and every artist contributed to that in their own way. It was not only a celebration of past, present and future coming together, but also of different styles of music, different heritages, different colors, different inspirations (so very nice with the montage - Chris cited U2, Beyonce was citing Michael Jackson's outfit, Bruno his dancing), left and right joining in the middle. All of them celebrating the moment of togetherness in the end: We're gonna get it together. The show was about collaborating, inviting, empowering, sharing, and giving. I think it speaks volumes about who they are as a band that they agreed to do it this way. It's why some people might see them as soft, too nice and in the end forgettable, but it's a big part of why they are my favourite band. I thought they did a wonderful job with this opportunity and gave it meaning. I'm very proud. :)
12. So proud of the boys and the whole team that made this happen! I'm glad they were able play Up&Up as the last song and make this ending with the message so perfect. My band. :dazzled:
13. Gosh guys, I can't believe my little band grew up to play at the Super Bowl! I am so excited for and with them! :bliss:
14. Yeah, might have been the cameras of the German station here that caught them. Couldn't see Apple, just Gwyn and Moses.
15. Did the international footage just show Gwyneth and Moses as well? They were eating - damn, I wish I had bought potato chips. :D
16. It's just four songs from AHFOD. (Edit: As mayrn43 already said. :D)
17. I like your attitude! I'll be trying to go to sleep at about 8 pm already in order to get up again around minight when the game is starting here in Germany. But I'm not sure if I'll be able to sleep with all the excitement.:omgomg:
18. Very cool - creating the fans of tomorrow. I'm sure they will love it! I actually did it the other way around and turned my mom into a fan by taking her to concerts. (My dad still can't be entirely convinced. :D) I'm planning to go to, erm, six shows during the summer. Just handed in my requests for annual leave at work for these dates and sparked quite a discussion when I said it was for going to six concerts of the same band. How do you explain that to people who aren't fans of anything like that? I mean in my head it makes perfect sense. :D
19. Musically, Formation isn't my taste at all, but I really like the message and the video. But especially with such a strong statement and the conversation it has already started, yeah, Coldplay will be more of a side note now. Still looking forward to the show, though. I hope they can surprise us and other viewers. :)
20. Interesting! I'm currently binge-watching 'Making A Murderer' and heard of the Innocence Project for the first time there. (Anybody else addicted to this series?)
21. LOL, they really don't know what to do with the footballs. The way Will holds it... :laugh4:
22. No HFTW? I can only imagine, that then they'll play Up&Up and Beyoncé will do Noel's guitar solo. :D
23. Currently I only have one Coldplay poster up in my apartment. I need a bigger boat bigger walls! :D Mobile Link: https://www.instagram.com/p/BA5GWkZEPYx/ I had many in my childhood bedroom in my parents' flat and they remained on the walls even all these years after I moved out. It was always great coming back to these memories. But my parents have moved to another house by now and took the posters down. I miss them. :embarrassed:
24. Finally got to see it. :dazzled: A 15 minute demonstration of why this is my favourite band in the world and will always be.
