1. Unpopular opinion maybe, but clearly AOAL for me. Such a party! I miss it already.
2. What an amazing end to the European leg! I'm so happy! The crowd in Copenhagen was truly wonderful during these two gigs and did a great job making the guys feel loved. So great seeing Davide play during VLV. And Chris did the Jonny-singing-speech before starting Don't Panic today and then Jonny got so, so much love from the crowd! Loved this moment. :crown: Then I was a bit confused whether they'd only have two songs on the C stage tonight, but when Chris stayed there and started talking I knew we were in for a treat. The duet with Lianne was simply stunning. Watched the show from the ranks today and it's so great noticing different things from different angles. This also marks the end of my 6 dates tour with them for this year. Gosh, I will miss going crazy with the Paradise remix and singing my heart out to the AOAL party. Thank you, Coldplay! "You, the people, have the power to make this life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure."
3. Just spotted something entitled "Momo's Cart" between some if the stage equipment. Cute!
4. Exactly. After my first Coldplay concert I cried for two days straight, even though it was the most awesome thing ever. Thought I'd never see them again. Little did I know... :D
5. Death and All His Friends at the soundcheck just now. They're probably not gonna play any of these, lol.
6. Square One at the soundcheck right now.
7. No, it was just ticket holders.
8. These were special tickets in Stockholm (or also in some other cities, sometimes called FOS). They cost a little more than the regular standing ticket. As far as I know there were no Golden Circle/FOS tickets sold for Copenhagen and the stadium chart didn't indicate separated areas.
9. I'm old. Instead of starting to queue in the morning like fellow hardcore fans, I sat in the courtyard of the Royal Palace and ate a cinnamon roll. Yes, indeed. I was in Golden Circle and unfortunately, the crowd around me was a bit lame. For a moment I worried that Swedish people might not have arms to throw in the air. Many just seemed bored out of their minds, not moving one tiny body part. I had to party hard during the Paradise remix all by myself and got some funny looks. :D Wasn't really able to see what was going on on the ranks, but overall I was not that impressed with the atmosphere. The full Xylobands effec was awesome, though. Loved all the little things that went wrong today: Chris' shirt not being on stage when he wanted to change (resulting in a funny bare-chested run across the stage), Jonny messing up the only four lines he has in 'Don't Panic' and Chris laughing so hard he spared him the further embarrassment of pausing, Chris & Jonny playfully arguing about who was responsible for 'Heroes' going a bit wrong in the beginning ("My bad." - "No, my bad." Very British.)... Loved hearing 'God Put A Smile Upon Your Face' making a return. The smile on Chris' face when he has fun with the loop machine. :D Everglow solo was also such a pleasure. This way I could really feel him pouring everything into it. It's not a particular favourite if mine, but I realize that it means a lot to him. <3
10. OMG! Awesome sign. Totally your humour! :D
11. Gawd, that sounds horrible. I was already annoyed enough coming in late today. Kudos to you guys for already queuing again so early! After Saturday you'll probably sleep for three years. Until the next tour. ;) I'm gonna stay hungry now. Just because. Not giving in and buying their overpriced food. :D
12. Decided to not go for the big front row run today. I'm old and tired, lol. But FOS still has plenty of space. I'm cranky, though. Not even my banana was allowed inside. Never got stripped of my whole food like this before. I need Coldplay to improve my mood. :D
13. No, no official info about the release or what the general concept of the video is (I guess what we saw is just one part and it was not entirely clear what was going on). We were quite far away from the crew on the ice field. No cameras and phones allowed inside. Some were apparently taking pictures nevertheless and they were thrown out. Just saw that Chris was in Hannover today after all, but only in the afternoon. :/ Mobile Link: https://twitter.com/ColdplayAtlas/status/748593087446941698 Article: http://m.haz.de/Hannover/Aus-der-Stadt/Uebersicht/Coldplay-dreht-Video-im-Eisstadion-am-Pferdeturm The article states that due to safety concerns they decided to only arrive during the afternoon and do their scenes separately. All a bit strange... What they told us during the shoot was something else (no time between gigs). Well, I guessed it could happen that the band wouldn't turn up, but hey, at least we got to be part of the video in some way. It better turn out awesome! :D
14. Just wrote a little spontaneous first review for my Facebook profile and thought I'd share here as well. (All the silliness is lack of sleep after last night's concert.) So apparently we now appear as extras in a brand new Coldplay music video. What it involved: An ice stadium, a cute ice dancing couple, glowing birch trees on the ice, severe cold, lightening up 30,000 sparklers when being told so, lots and lots of waiting, slipping cameramen, some frustration, imagining how they're gonna CGI chimps onto the ice, a free shirt, and hearing the same snippet of Everglow again and again and again and again... What it did not involve: The band, lol.
15. Wow, 50 concerts - so awesome! (And a fellow Jonny fan.) This one will "only" be my #22. I remember the grainy analog pictures of my first concert in 2002 as well, lol.
16. That would be absolutely wonderful! No worries though if you're already smothered by bags and people. :D
17. Received the confirmation email this afternoon as well. Exciting! Is anyone going to the show in Berlin and driving to Hannover early in the morning with a place to spare by any chance? (Will be paying for gas of course.)
18. So much love for this setlist. Thought we'd never hear AIMH again.
19. I was wondering: Has the band ever commented on the tendency to book female supporting artists for their last couple of tours? I think it's a great thing, because women tend to be underrepresented in the music industry and there are so many great female artists out there. But I've never seen it mentioned in any interview. It already became more noticable during the MX tour, and is very much so now with AHFOD. AHFOD Tour: Female: Lianne La Havas, Hana, María Colores, Gala Brie, Tiê, Elsa y Elmar, Ximena Sariñana, Alessia Cara, Foxes, Lea Lu, Birdy, Bishop Briggs Male: Reef Ghost Stories Tour: Female: SZA With female band members: London Grammar, AlunaGeorge MX Tour: Female: Marina & The Diamonds, Emeli Sandé, The Pierces, Rita Ora, Robyn, Charlie XCX With female band members: Metronomy Male: The Low Suns, Ash, Wolf Gang, The Temper Trap, Naturally 7 Viva La Vida Tour: Female: Santigold, Duffy, Bat For Lashes, Miss Montreal, Girls Aloud, La Roux, Hollie Smith With female band members: Shearwater, Howling Bells, Amadou & Mariam, Kitty Daisy & Lewis, The High Wire, The Domino State, Decoder Ring, The Ting Tings Male: The Blue Jackets, Jon Hopkins, Sleepercar, Snow Patrol, Pete Yorn, Elbow, Albert Hammond Jr., Eugene Francis Jnr and the Juniors, Kilians, The Flaming Lips, The White Lies, Moi Caprice, Datarock, Ministri, Pegasus, The Sunday Drivers, Jay-Z, Mercury Rev, Vanguart
20. I get that A LOT. :D I used to make a comparison with wanting to kiss the person you love again and again, because of wanting to relive the experience, even though the actual kiss is similar (but never exactly the same). But by now I just say that I feel a little sorry for the person asking for obviously not having such a wonderful and slightly crazy passion. ;)
21. *bump* because this is a good thread and I still have all those Sparks EPs that are looking for new cozy homes. :D
22. What I learned while queuing for the concert: The arena has a mobile football turf that they move out of the arena between games and when other events are taking place, so the grass can regenerate and isn't damaged. Watched a video of it this week and it looks quite cool when they move it in and out beneath one of the stands. Takes four hours one way. :D
23. They also need to turn up Jonny's guitar and mix it in louder. The rest was loud enough. :D
24. I I loved that transition live with Chris playing the piano ending to Charlie Brown over and over again and the birds chirping.
25. Haha, I thought that too. Feel like I intruded a very intimate moment. :D
