1. Amazing! Finally jumping along in a big stadium again (though with the roof closed it more felt like a slightly bigger arena, but due to rain and thunder very welcome). I was slightly disappointed that with the early entry tickets the rails were pretty much occupied already when regular FOS entered. FOS 2 with the misleading name and totally different layout was a joke. Felt sorry for those guys. :( Glad though, that the crowd around me was pretty enthusiastic. (Though generally it seemed a bit tame.) My highlights were the pleasant surprise of Lovers In Japan, going crazy with the Paradise remix, celebrating life during AOAL (if I've only got this life, I wanna share this adventure with you, Coldplay <3), the dreamy guitar in See You Soon... The length of the set felt just right to me. Definitely longer than shows in the past. I couldn't have danced and sung along for much longer. :D Many of the screen visuals were stunning. Love the camera from above at the B stage! I sweated out about three litres of water, had a severe back ache and got toe cramps all the time...and it felt great! :D The small confetti though: That is like the most aggressive confetti ever. It was EVERYWHERE! It stuck to me like crazy, I had a ton of it fall out of my trousers and found some INSIDE my bra. My hotel room looked like a confetti bomb had exploded right in there.
2. That sounds like you're in the New Posts area. You need to go to the subforum you'd like to open a new thread in (e.g. Coldplay Games) and the button is near the top there.
3. Auch gerade gesehen. :D
4. So relieved they kept the remix. I wanna experience that madness live. :bliss:
5. The Viva era was suberb. I was at that BBC show. The day I unexpectantly won the ticket for it (after losing out on the Brixton gig a couple of days before and bawling my eyes out) was already awesome - the day of the concert even more so. Best time of my life (not only because of Coldplay, but they added to it.)
6. Just saw some extra standing tickets for Copenhagen on Ticketmaster.dk as well.
7. Loved all the songs! The minimal version of Clocks is great. Gives it a slightly different kind of vibe.
8. I mourn the fact that we will never have HLH as opener again. Don't like the studio version, but live it was so wonderfully warm and energetic. <3
9. Currently there are some FOS 2 tickets on Eventim for Gelsenkirchen again: Eventim Website EDIT: Ticketmaster also has some, including regular GA.
10. Stephen, currently there are tickets on Eventim for Berlin again - even GA ("Stehplatz Innenraum", not FOS though): Eventim Website Hope you're lucky! :)
11. A happy and colourful Sunday with this picture from Buenos Aires! :)
12. Just found this picture and...well, there went my concentration.
13. Maybe the Xylobands weren't activated yet. At least with the ones during the MX tour, you first had to remove a little piece, so the battery could work. Maybe they accidentally gave them out to you guys before that? Just a wild guess... Very happy for you, @alisbe, that you had such a great time at the two concerts. :)
14. Good for everybody, haha. :D
15. Compiled some stats out of utter boredom as well. Some are already covered by @Christo670 ’s wonderful list and post. This is just everything I put down for my own statistical pleasures. :D LEG 1 – SOUTH AMERICA 10 concerts in 6 countries, 7 cities and 7 venues. They played 39 different songs, 227 songs overall. The average setlist had 23 songs. From the 227 songs played in total: - 33% were from A Head Full Of Dreams - 15% were from Mylo Xyloto - 15% were from Ghost Stories - 12% were from A Rush Of Blood To The Head - 8% were from Parachutes - 7% were from X&Y - 5% were cover songs - 4% were from Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends - 1% were from The Blueroom EP. Birds and Army of One had their live debuts (Buenos Aires). Seven songs have been played after taking a live hiatus for five or more years: See You Soon (last played in 2003), A Rush Of Blood To The Head (2007), A Message (2010), Parachutes (2011), Politik (2011), Shiver (2011), and The Hardest Part (2011). 40% of the audience requests played were from X&Y, 30% from AROBTTH, and 30% from Parachutes. The songs were: - Shiver (2x) - The Hardest Part (2x) - A Message (1x) - A Rush Of Blood To The Head (1x) - Don’t Panic (1x) - Green Eyes (1x) - In My Place (1x) - Speed Of Sound (1x) The average show had about 54,000 spectators. The biggest audience were approx. 67,000 in Mexico City (17th April), the smallest crowd about 41,000 people in Bogotá.
16. It might not be their greatest song or a special favourite of mine, but I also loved ETIAW as closer, 'cause it left me with so much energy and I could sing and dance my heart out before it was all over.
17. Awesome! They're available in Germany, too. Thank you @AMDB9 for the heads-up! I was just thinking a couple of days ago how cool it would be if those songs were on Spotify, too. EDIT: Whoa, A Spell A Rebel Yell, too! :)
18. Aw, I got into Doves around the same time me as into Coldplay in 2001/02. The Last Broadcast is still one of my fave albums ever. Even though I was a bit miffed when they let us in the audience wait for nearly three hours at a concert in Cologne once. They eventually emerged. :D
19. Thank you! :) Maybe I mentioned Coldplay a little to much at work. :D
20. These ticket prices and "fees" for the US shows are really quite ridiculous. I'm in Europe, but it kind of saddens me to read about it. :( $700 for the front rows? Wow. The most expensive seats (regular, no VIP packages) and FOS tickets were around €110/$125 here in Germany. The cheapest seats started at €75/$85. I find the differences quite staggering and have trouble understanding this whole thing. You still had to be fast, but at least there was a realistic chance here at getting a FOS ticket the normal way and without taking out a loan.
21. My co-workers gave me this for my birthday. Seems like they know me. :D Mobile Link: https://www.instagram.com/p/BEEZZcdEPdT/
22. Up With The Birds, 'cause good things are coming our way. :)
23. I'll be presenting something in front of a client next week and there were two videos somebody in the company made to introduce the topic. One had generic background music and the other one had Reign Of Love playing. :dazzled: Guess which one I chose. I need to speak to that person who made it.
24. So is this the only US date with a GA floor? Interesting.
25. Just realized that Birdy supporting Coldplay in Stockholm was a very logical choice with all the bird references Chris seems to be in love with. :D
