  1. Game 7, 6:6. I'm hyperventilating. Come on CUBS!!!! [emoji72] [emoji120]
  2. Good luck! I'll be thinking of you during your surgery. [emoji106] [emoji40]
  3. I just have to say.....GO CUBS!!!!! [emoji322] [emoji1]
  4. Yes, about rollercoasters and school, but not at the same time. [emoji6] Have you ever sang karaoke in a bar?
  5. I'll probably be driving or taking a train from southwest Michigan there and back all in the same day. So no hotel for me. It's going to be a late night. :-)
  6. Yes. I work in human resources, so I sometimes have to discipline or terminate employees. Not my favorite part of my job. Fortunately the other parts are much better. Have you ever binge watched a tv series?
  7. LMAO!!!!!!!! [emoji23]
  8. Yes, I should do that too! I can't believe I never think about it.[emoji179] I had a crazy dream last night where part of it was on a roller coaster and I could pull this lever to play music for everyone in my car. Fix You came on and some of the other riders cheered! In my dream, I even thought how I should post that in the Random Coldplay Thoughts thread, and now here I am. LOL [emoji12]
  9. I have no idea, but that first picture is cool. It looks like he's floating a couple inches off the ground. [emoji1]
  10. That's right! Coldplay have said (I'm paraphrasing here) that they don't enjoy playing to the "barely" fans who can shell out the big $ for front row seats and sit there during the concert with smug looks on their faces like they're thinking, "entertain me". That's why they started holding back the first few rows and giving surprise upgrades to the most enthusiastic fans before the show starts. I'm not going to speculate on why the tickets are so high, but it's not just Coldplay who have pricy tickets these days. Look at this article http:// http://www.egigger.com/blog/egigger/5-of-the-most-anticipated-and-expensive-concerts-in-2016. For what you get at a Coldplay concert (Xylobands and the most mind-blowing show going, at least in my opinion), I think it's way more worth it than other tours charging more than Coldplay.
  11. You might have to come to me....the security guards probably won't let me into your B section with my C section ticket. They were really strict about checking tickets on the floor last time to keep people from creeping up. Lol
  12. Yes! I've never been able to meet a fellow Coldplayer yet. In July I was at the same Saturday show as iamsue, but she was on the floor, and us in the stands, and I couldn't get to the floor to see her. That was the crazy storm show too, and meet ups before or after just didn't work out.
  13. I'm on the floor now, section C2 row 19 right up against the C stage, at least I hope that's the C stage. :-) I upgraded my tickets from section 233 and shelled out some more dough, but it'll be worth it.
  14. I'm in the crazy camp, as in I paid for floor seats in section C2 for Chicago. I started with level 200 seats, and upgraded when I could finally see the individual seats still available on the "buy from map" link and realized I could get right up against the C stage. I saw them twice in July in Chicago too. My husband said we're working just to support my Coldplay habit. [emoji12]
  15. AHFOD for me because there's so much going on in it....fireworks, confetti, cool intro, and I just love the song. [emoji173]
  16. I got my kids into them too, mostly just in this last year. Especially my daughter who's 8, and my 13yo son a little less-so, but he's not that into music in general. I took them to the Chicago shows in July, my daughter to the Saturday show with another friend of mine, and we sat in the back. That's the show that got majority stormed on and ended early, but we had a great time. My daughter listens to Coldplay cd's in her room every night when she goes to bed, and has about 30 different "favorite" CP songs, like she can't narrow it down. My son really likes Clocks and a few others, but he had to learn a lot of their songs to pick a more obscure one for the audience request. I wasn't sure if he was going to enjoy the concert as much (the Sunday show on the floor) but he was blown away by it! Even though he's usually a moody teenager and not that into music, he spontaneously hugged me several times during the show (!!) and danced around and had a blast. That's a moment all moms should have with their teenage sons. [emoji4] I'm so glad to hear your daughter still likes CP too after all those years. I'm worried my daughter will decide some day that it's not cool to like her mom's music and will rebel with something I can't stand. [emoji12]
  17. Wow! I'm so jealous! I was a Coldplay late-bloomer and just got into them in 2012. This will be my 4th concert.
  18. You'll love it in the stadium!! Especially with your floor seats. Before the AHFOD tour, I'd only seen them once for the MX tour at the Palace of Auburn Hills near Detroit, a small-ish (20K seat) indoor arena. Soldier Field blew my mind in comparison. [emoji1] [emoji322] [/user]
  19. I replied in the new soldier field thread here: http:// http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/index.php?posts/5852669
  20. <br /><br />Do you live in the Chicago area? I have driven through there and know it's crazy! Any recommendations/advice on traffic? Since the concert falls on a Thursday night. Where exactly is Soldier Field located? Is it in the city or on the outskirts? <br /><br /><br />Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk @coldplay_lover4, I'm replying to your question in the old Chicago thread, hope you see it here.[emoji4] I'm from southwest Michigan, so I come over on the 89/90 Toll Rd straight into the city. If I remember right, it turns into the Dan Ryan expressway after crossing the Skyway. Soldier Field is really easy to get to from there. It's on the far southeast side of the downtown loop near the lake shore and all the museums, so you won't have to go far into the city or deal with too much traffic. (You're coming from Indy, right?) Of course, try to get there a little early to avoid most of the stadium traffic. Set your GPS for Soldier Field or follow the signs and it'll take you right to the parking lots around the stadium. Last summer I parked in the Waldron lot just south of the stadium, and leaving after the concert was surprisingly easy too. All the traffic I was in got directed to highway (40-something?) which led me straight to the main interstate back south out of town. It was literally only about 15 minutes from the time we got in our car to when I was zipping down the highway well out of the city back home. One thing I'll warn you about....last time driving to the stadium, we wanted to eat dinner and use the bathroom somewhere before we got to the stadium in case things were crazy there. We only thought to do this a few exits before the stadium, and got off on some random street that was in a really scary part of town. I had thoughts of that scene in the Vacation movie where they get lost in St. Louis and lose all the hub caps on their car while asking for directions. Anyway, we managed to find a McDonald's a couple miles down that road and got back safely to the highway unscathed. Next time we'll do that much earlier and shoot for a nicer neighborhood.[emoji15]

  22. I see some activity on the 2017 Soldier Field thread now, with a few recent posts. I'm jumping to that one now. Hope to chat with you guys there!
  23. Audie, I just PM'd my code to you. I have two seats left on it. [emoji6]
  24. Ugh, I turned 43 in July, and I'm so disappointed in myself because I never thought of Coldplay/42 all last year! [emoji37] I feel like a really lame Coldplayer now. [emoji107]
