  1. That's so beautiful! Well done. [emoji122] That's one of my favorite Coldplay songs, and I wish more people knew about it and appreciated it more. I love how Cat Power (and you!) performed it, but I hope Coldplay eventually record it themselves like they did with Gravity. Thank you for sharing this, and welcome back to the forum!
  2. Does it feel like to anyone else that the audience request songs are really limited, or maybe even a little "pre-determined"? With only 13 unique request songs played so far in 30 shows (check out the recent posts in the AHFOD set list stats thread), there isn't as much variety as I expected or hoped for. I know the main set list songs are out, and they're limited to acoustic versions, but some songs are getting way more attention than others like In My Place. I suppose the songs might be selected by popular demand. Maybe that's why the song title has to be hashtagged in the request, so whoever picks the song can tally up the requests easily. Or I fear the songs are chosen in advance, and the hashtags are just used so they can find a random request video to show at the concert of the song they already decided to play. Maybe I'm being paranoid, but the shows my kids & I are going to are coming up soon, and I have doubts about anything we can control to help their requests get chosen, like doing something unique in the video. I think it would be so cool for them to have one of their videos shown (they're each going to separate shows, so they won't be competing against each other) and I feel like it's more likely to happen if they request one of the "stand-by" songs instead of a more obscure song they like better. 6. Does it feel like to anyone else that the audience request songs are really limited, or even a little "pre-determined"? With only 13 different songs played in 30 shows, there isn't as much variety as I expected (hoped for). I know the main set list songs are out, and they're limited to acoustic versions, but some songs are getting way more attention than others. I suppose the songs might be selected by popular demand. Maybe that's why the song title is tagged, so they can tally up the requests easily. Or I fear the songs are chosen in advance, and the tags are just used to find a random request video to show at the concert. Maybe I'm being paranoid, but my shows in Chicago are coming up soon, and I have doubts about anything we can control to help our requests get chosen. If there's a thread on this topic somewhere else, please let me know so I can vent there. Sorry to be such a downer in this great set list stats thread. [emoji53] EDIT... someone started a thread on audience request songs for the US tour, so I found my venting place. [emoji18] http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/index.php?posts/5835196

  12. Thanks! My kids helped a lot. With each shirt, we'd all take different sections and stick the stones upside down onto these clear transfer sheets with the design below the sheet for reference. Then when all the stones were on, I'd flip the whole thing onto the shirt, position it, and iron it all down to melt the backs of the stones on the shirt. It sounds complicated, but it was actually pretty easy once I got the hang of it. But you're right...it took lots of patience. I think we spent about three hours on each shirt, including the iron-on letters on the back. Here's a couple of the work-in-process pictures. Sent from my SCH-S960L using Coldplaying mobile app
  13. I'll be there on the 24th too. One show with my daughter and the other with my son. Long story how that happened. [emoji39] Sent from my SCH-S960L using Coldplaying mobile app
  14. My kids & I finished our flower of life t-shirts! Mine & my daughter's are done with iron-on rhinestones, and my son's is done with nail heads. He didn't want his to be as sparkly.[emoji39] The back of my shirt says "Coldplayer brobbins" and both of the kid's say "Next-Gen Coldplayer". All ready for our Chicago shows in two weeks!!!! 23. I agree. [emoji106] Also to add that, I like how Midnight has a different part in the middle where it sounds like a rave. I'm way too old to go to a rave [emoji6] but I love listening to that music. So having the variety of music in Midnight would keep it from getting boring after 24 hours.
