LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Erm, what kind of case can we expect for the album after seeing that? I really don't want just a paper sleeve, they're awful, like what AM came in.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Yeah it seems that way, which is really sad, I thought A Head Full Of Dreams would, maybe Kaleidoscope and Colour Spectrum will have that kind of sound. It's really annoying that a lot of us thought there was going to be this psychedelic and/or Indian sound on there. I think I had started to expect Pink Floyd and Beatles influences, which I was really excited for, despite not really being a fan of either.

Intro and outro music to the album
I was thinking it could be a small piece of music with Beyonce providing vocals or whatever, as she's the 'Angel', cropping up again in HFTW and then returns in Up&Up but I dunno now.

Update: Royal Blood WILL NOT Support Coldplay For Wembley Dates
Royal Blood and Marina (again) would be lovely for myself.

Update: Royal Blood WILL NOT Support Coldplay For Wembley Dates
Oh wow, I'd be so pleased with that. I really wish they'd let us know the prices, I don't want to get queuing for Wembley tickets if Etihad will be cheaper.

Army of One
^ ^ I thought so too! Well I'm hoping it the heavier/rockier song on there because it doesn't look like any of the others could be now.

A Head Full Of Dreams (Title track)
So should I listen now and let this be the last song I listen to before the album? Or should I avoid all new songs now and listen to the album fresh?

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
But this works both ways, it gets increasingly hard to like something when so many fans are telling you how awful it is, it brings fans down for liking new stuff the band are putting out. Then we get labelled with that god awful term 'Newplayer', is it bad to enjoy most of what the band put out? I'm all for criticism, and I understand not everyone on a Coldplay discussion site will like everything, it's just getting to the point where you can't look at a thread on here without turning away less excited because most of the members here already know what the album will sound like apparently.

AHFOD Reviews by Music Critics
I'm not sure what I make of that review. I also feel like the album sounds so different to me every time we get a new bit of information, weird.

Coldplay and Chris Martin Open Up for New Album - WSJ Article
The way I see it is that we all have very different opinions on how this album is going to turn out, based on low or high expectations and on interviews since the album was announced. People completely dismissing the idea that this album could be great are being ridiculous, I understand that everyone is entitled to an opinion, but it's hard to know you hate something before it comes out. For example, this is how I see the album turning out: 1. A Head Full Of Dreams (Mylo Style colourful poppy rock, think HLH or Paradise, hopeful for Indian influences) 2. Birds (something very different for them but most closely resembling LiJ) 3. HFTW (Dancy, obviously but I can't see them repeating the style of ASFOS) 4. Everglow (Hopefully a really lovely ballad) 5. AOAL - 6. Fun (honestly no idea, can't see there being three really dancy ones on here, we'll see) 7. Kaleidoscope (Interlude probably) 8. Army Of One (The inevitable darker or heavier rock song (hopefully)) 9. Amazing Day (Strings and piano more apparent on studio version) 10. Colour Spectrum (Psychadelic interlude) 11. Up&Up (an epic/odyssey) How many people are expecting the same as me? I bet there are barely any and that goes to show that we don't really have a great idea on how this will turn out, so we may as well wait and see before dragging the band through the

Coldplay and Chris Martin Open Up for New Album - WSJ Article
That really depends? Every night out I've been on, there has always been more 'organic' music played and it's often those that gain a better reaction than the EDM (which isn't really that big anymore) or house tracks played.

Kaleidoscope
So annoying that there's going to be interludes when the album isn't very long already.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
See, when he said this, it seemed to me that Chris was correcting him as if to say they aren't tracks, meaning they were interludes between songs like the end of oceans/start of ASFOS but I don't think so now. I'm proper upset that we'll have two less songs. I think I'm going to have to avoid these concerts because by the time Ghost Stories came out the only new ones to hear were True Love and Ink.

Setlist for the LP7 tour
I am certain the setlist will have at least 21 songs, I'm sure Mylo and Viva both had that many. Having this many albums out now, I wouldn't be shocked if they extended it a bit either really, 23 songs isn't that much of a stretch. I think they'll play AHFOD: 8 songs Ghost Stories: 2 or 3 (ASFOS and maybe Midnight/Magic) Mylo: 3 (Paradise, Charlie Brown and ETIAW) Viva: 2 or 3 (Violet Hill, Viva and hopefully LIT2) I really want to hear Death And All His Friends but that won't happen X&Y: 2 (Fix You and either White Shadows or Speed Of Sound or Till Kingdom Come) AROBTTH: 3 (The Scientist, Clocks and either Politik (I hope) or In My Place) Parachutes: 1 (Yellow)

A Head Full Of Dreams (Title track)
Didn't Saket say you could her the voice of a familiar pop star at the start? Or have I made that up? I assumed this was Beyonce's part and that she'd be a part of the theme music that runs through like Life In Technicolor/Escapist and Always In My Head/O, but Chris says she's in Hymn For the Weekend and Up&Up so maybe the 'theme' music kicks in later in the album than the opener, unless he just didn't mention that she's in this song too. Also, what's going to happen to this video then?

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
The nerve to say Coldplay aren't a rock band but Arctic Monkeys are? Tragic, and I'm a big Arctic Monkeys fan. I'm not worried about the Beyonce feature because in my head, she's going to feature on the album similar to this* if the Pink Floyd/psychedelic influences idea is true * [video=youtube;cVBCE3gaNxc]

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
I'm not sure if I'm expecting, but I'm certainly hoping that AHFOD has a sciencey vibe to it. I feel like A Head Full Of Dreams could be the head of an unconventional scientist who maybe gets his fantasies mixed up with actual science. I was hoping this months ago and then Coldplay tweeted this... take a trip into outer space, then inner space [video=youtube;0fKBhvDjuy0] … PH Which just made me more excited. What I find a little intriguing is that the intro of this video bares similarities to the outro of the True Love video. 'Anything is possible...In A Head Full Of Dreams'

Chris and Jonny
I absolutely swear I saw Jonny today, which I'm sure is impossible as I just live in a town in Nottinghamshire. If it wasn't him, it was the spitting image, he had the hat and the beard. I would have politely approached him if I had been walking by but I was driving :( By the way, does anyone know how to change your username, mine suffers from a typo
