1. So the album is virtually already out :joy: lucky people, I'm still waiting on my album + t-shirt bundle! Enjoy listening! :)
2. I'm so hyped for Jordan now, you all have no idea... View: https://www.instagram.com/p/B5FNehGg0Th/?igshid=di728rm2bspi

4. Let's be honest, it was pretty obvious from the start that Sparks would lose the poll. Maybe they just added Sparks to the list to get a feel for how much interest there is in those really old tracks. VLV was my other choice so I'm glad it won. And I think it fits the best with this current era. You've got a point though... the AHFOD tour requests gave us some gems at a few shows but the rest of the time it was just the same old set of songs. They weren't bad songs, but they were songs that probably would've been included in the setlist anyway. I think they just really loved playing In My Place, Don't Panic, etc. :joy:
5. Moses vs Church
6. I wasn't sure if the clean version had ever leaked... I'll see if I can track it down :D I wonder if the clean version of Guns is also floating around or if I just need to wait a couple more days. I'm not sure... I bought the Target version here in the US that had the bonus tracks but I don't remember if those tracks were ever released or leaked before the full album came out. I'm not a big fan of SJLT but I actually wouldn't mind if they play this version in the future... it's kinda weird, kinda dreamy. I like it!
7. It's... a broken heart  Some artists can get around the awkward emptiness by using a different vocal track with different lyrics in place of the expletives. But, of course, Coldplay can't really do this with Trouble In Town because it's not Chris singing. I just hope the clean versions of Guns and Arabesque don't sound weird without the expletives either. "Everyone's gone *pause* crazy" would sound weird with that pause! As would "SAME *pause* BLOOD!!!!!" Maybe with editing magic and a different vocal track, they could change it to something along the lines "Everyone's gone so crazy" and "WE HAVE THE SAME BLOOD!!!!!"
8. Gosh, I love coming back to this performance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=w06S7Z4tKZU;list=WL;t=0 Based on what I've seen of performances from 1999-2001, 2001 is when the band really started to take off live and get that kind of energy you see in the AROBTTH tour shows. Like, look at Chris, with all his energy channeled into some great vocals and rhythm guitar playing instead of just sprinting back and forth across the stage, especially in Spies.
9. Cry Cry Cry is also one of the weaker tracks IMO, second only to BrokEn. Again, it's not bad. It's also a really novelty track. It's just... not a song that flows too well with the rest of the record. Needs a little more "oomph" to it, maybe a big horn section. I love that piano tone though!
10. Another difficult one... Old Friends vs All Your Friends
11. "Inb4 thread lock" album title confirmed
12. Best: I'm flip-flopping between Arabesque and Trouble In Town. Right now I pick Arabesque. Worst: BrokEn. It's not bad, in fact it's a sweet and novelty track kinda like Death Will Never Conquer. I just think it should have been placed elsewhere in the track listing. Trouble In Town ought to flow directly into Daddy.
13. I personally don't mind the Trouble In Town sample. It's jarring at first but I think it's supposed to be that way. It's supposed to help the message of the song feel genuine, and present it as a problem we need to confront as opposed to something we can think "oh, that's too bad" about and never acknowledge it again.
14. Never thought I'd say this, but... Daddy vs Til Kingdom Come
15. Sadly, submissions are now closed :( It's a shame, I almost changed my mind and recorded a video a few days ago before I saw this. Makes sense that the deadline has already passed though because they need time to pick from submissions and edit them together so they can be shown during the livestream.
16. Kite - U2
17. Difficult... Low vs Everything's Not Lost
18. Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia is a word so long it's atrocious. The title "Viva la Vida Or Death And All His Friends" is much longer than the average album title! Electrician
19. LP10? Obviously it'll be 10 spoken word tracks consisting of Guy talking about cars. Car Kids: The Album

Apart from most of Ghost Stories, yes. And they seem to feel like they need Stargate in order to do that, which they don't. At all. If they really want to be uplifting, they don't have to resort to Maroon 5-style production. Mylo is mostly still an alternative rock album at the core. But it's so overproduced in places; Princess of China and DLIBYH are both an absolute mess in that regard. I'd like the album more if it had better mixing and if they toned down the synths on songs like PoC. Most of the songs sound so much better live, which explains why I tend to listen to Live 2012 more than MX, haha. There are some really good songs there, like Charlie Brown, UATW, HLH, and Major Minus, but the rest of the album just feels awkward to listen to. I have a love/hate relationship with this record... sometimes I like it better than Ghost Stories, sometimes I just can't bear to listen to it. Someone had to say it! :joy: Poor CK, it has been in limbo for 10 years now...
21. It appears we are getting a second show in Jordan, scheduled for this Saturday: View: https://twitter.com/coldplayxtra/status/1196801120099799043?s=19

23. I never saw this until today... Brendon Urie singing Fix You: I'm not the biggest fan of his newer Panic! At the Disco work, especially now that it's really just a solo project instead of a full band, but man oh man he is a talented singer. Now I kind of wish he'd collaborate with Coldplay.

I'm expecting something more like AHFOD, but then again they are "full of surprises" *shrug* Maybe I'll be proven wrong. Regardless... look how far we've come since the speculation that AHFOD was going to be the last Coldplay album :joy: You've got a point there! :joy: I'm guessing November 2020 at the very earliest, but more likely the spring of 2021.
