  1. Cemeteries Of London
  2. They really ought to start playing Cemeteries Of London again. It's one of my favorite Viva songs and the band absolutely nails it live:
  3. A couple months ago when I was at a theme park, I saw someone in a Ghost Stories shirt. :) I was too shy to say anything though... seriously, I get super shy around strangers. :worried: But I've seen two people in Coldplay shirts since then (all within the past couple weeks!) and I managed to work up the courage to compliment them. :D
  4. Well, I saw another Coldplay shirt about 5 minutes ago. I was walking back to my dorm from the library and saw an awesome one that said "Coldplay" in the old font and had a black and white picture of the band that looked to be from sometime around the AROBTTH or X&Y era.
  5. Snow Patrol
  6. How nice! :) I have only heard singles on the radio, outside of one time when I heard We Never Change on the satellite radio station in a dentist's office.
  7. If only your battery had decreased by 6% more. ;) You hit the nail on the head. AROBTTH is only "experimental" because the band didn't want it to sound just like its predecessor. MX is definitely experimental... no other "pop rock" band at the time sounded quite like it. And listen to the kinda ambient stuff they did on Up With The Birds, that's definitely experimental in my book. :nodding: As for AHFOD, several of those tracks are experimental (though at a lesser degree than MX). As much as X Marks The Spot is loathed by a lot of people, even it should count as an experiment in itself.
  8. This is a really interesting game that popped up in the similar threads section and though it hasn't been touched in 4 years, it looks awesome! Beyond Radiohead - Just
  9. Love Don't Die - The Fray
  10. I was 2 years old when Yellow was released. :D So at that time I had no idea who Coldplay were and I wouldn't become a fan for another 12 years...
  11. Right now, probably How To Disappear Completely.
  12. I love all of those songs but I think the winner is gonna have to be Iris. :)
  13. Every Friday evening during the summer, my town has an event where local bands play in the downtown plaza. Yesterday, one of the bands covered Trouble! :awesome:
  14. I wonder if the song in question is Vitamins. Isn't that another really early pre-Safety song?
  15. Hi there!!! :) I am so glad you joined us here and I hope you have a wonderful time.
  16. Welcome to Coldplaying!!! :D Sorry I didn't reply to this right away, I have been busy with college so I haven't been so active lately. But I am so glad you joined us and I hope you have a fun time here. :)
  17. I think Jon Hopkins needs to remix not only Up&Up, but most (if not all) of AHFOD. His Midnight remix is even better than Kygo's in my opinion. EDIT: And Davide Rossi needs to do a remix of Amazing Day that is similar to the gorgeous one he did of True Love. I've always felt that one is so much better than the album version.
  18. This is my favorite live version of my favorite song from MX. :loveshower: I love how they kept the new verse in the song on the AHFOD tour (even though they've only played UATW a few times). Maybe they actually came up with it recently and just decided to add it on at the end. A few other bands have done things like that with their songs, for example U2 will occasionally add extra verses at the end of One and With Or Without You that never appeared in the studio version.
  19. In conversation with the very few other Coldplay fans I have met in real life, yes I have made the mistake of saying "ah-fod" :laugh3: It only makes sense that there's a "Jackpot" in Nevada and an "Okay" in Oklahoma (which is abbreviated as OK). :laugh3: And yes I actually have been through Parachute, but that was years ago. If only I had been a Coldplay fan at the time... ;)
  20. Also Parachutes, obviously. :D
  21. Welcome to the forums. :) Sadly I can't make it because I live all the way across the world, but best of luck to you as well in finding a way to attend! I am expecting them to perform for about 30 minutes. That's about how long their set was at the last Global Citizen Festival in New York, so I am guessing they will be on stage for about as long?
  22. I definitely agree. MX is a story with a positive moral, developed from ideas for an animated film and comic series. AHFOD is a much more personal album for the band, developed more from their own experiences. From what they've said in interviews about both albums, I'm inclined to say the emotion in AHFOD is more pure and genuine because it comes straight from their own hearts.
  23. I saw someone with a Mylo Xyloto shirt at a restaurant near my university and though once again I was a bit shy to talk to them, I couldn't help but compliment them. It was a really cool shirt that had all the little symbols on it that represent each song on the album.
