I'm not a fucking redneck just because I'm from America. >=(

Let's reconsider this--maybe I can change your mind. No?

Okee.

Says who? :laugh2:

I was talking to some random stubborn guy on this message board I was on. I ended up deleting my account anyway because of the musical snobbery.

ACK.

You know, there are just some people who have really nice voices to just listen to.

Okay, so this is an edit because I don't like posting twice in a row:

This guy is such an idiot. Why the hell would you bring a beer to school unless you're a complete dumbass? I can't believe I ever..

THESE PPL ARE HUMAN GARBAGE!!!:veryangry::veryangry::veryangry:

OK. Sorry bout that. THe're really driving me nuts.

Tracie, I know what you're feeling! I recall the same (well, the same strain) lunatics back while renting at the U. Do the police have any affect? I recall going to a neighbor at school, and since he was a policeman, I figured he would do something. He just said he was hard of hearing from being on the firing range so long, and so he couldn't really hear the music! (I think he was a good lip-reader!). So, he wouldn't do a thing.. I think calling the police on them wouldn't be wrong, albeit perhaps useless if the cops have no ambition to do a thing. But, my second act would be to pull the breaker! (I was ready to break the one open at the U, and shut off the power - it was exam week, and these nuts had no concept of respect..)

Bright Future!

So I've been working on this problem for a while - I've been trying to integrate all the concepts of ecological concern, comfort, renewable energy, reliability, and sustainability into one fairly well-encompassing model.

One unique aspect was to integrate an automated producer gas generator into the system, that uses the best engine designs possible from a durability & efficiency standpoint. Also high on the priority list was eliminating most of the rare & uncommon elements (such as lead, copper, zinc, nickel, mercury, etc.) from the basic design, so that anyone could have an energy-efficient & renewable energy home & shop, without the downsides of relying on a lot of toxic or rare elements. In fact, I think we haven't any choice but to make such a transition, as the sources are both coming close to depletion, and are causing a great deal of land disturbance, as well as creating many toxic hazards.

Included in the package are earth & human-friendly alternatives to couch stuffing, fabrics, and bio-plastics.

I've envisioned this to include re-modeling, as much of our basic infrastructure is built, and can more readily be re-modeled than taken apart and built new. All this on an affordable basis! In fact, the more I look at it, the more I realize how we can have incredibly enjoyable places to live in, which require very little basic maintenance and minimal energy loads to start with. And it really isn't that difficult to do!

Well, I'll get off my soap box now..:)

The cops are more than aware of these people. They sell pot, and as a result have ppl at their door day and night. Not only the cops, but the civillian employees at the police station know them. Still, nothing is ever done. It just drives me nuts. If you want to sell a bit of dope in your spare time, I really don't care, but these losers keep me awake, and then have the nerve to yell at my company, and even scare the landlord off his own property.

I feel completely f**king helpless here. Noone and nothing seems to affect them. Collection agencies show up here more often than the pizza guy, lol.

Selfish people like that can only be dealt with one way: physical removal is the only thing that will get them out of here.

In the meantime...that breaker's looking good!

In a world where 'what I need' is so prevalent, I feel the only solution is to start looking at what we really don't need, and scaling it back. I thought I was the only crazy person thinking about the stuffing in couches, lol. But seriously, it's a factor. Running a more simple home isn't that hard. The sacrifices aren't that dear. And the end result will pay dividends we can't even imagine yet. Your post really cheered me up. I wish more people were thinking along these lines. Feel free to stay on the soap-box...as long as the phosphates in the soap don't seep into the ground and pollute the soil, lol.

Kudos to you!

It wasn't me!!!

Yes, that does sound like a familiar problem. (all too familiar:dozey:) I worked with a retired policeman from Milwaukee who saw a lot of that as well.. Kinda like there has to be more checks and balances to get more honest cops on the force, and get rid of the bad apples..!;)

If you want to sell a bit of dope in your spare time, I really don't care, but these losers keep me awake, and then have the nerve to yell at my company, and even scare the landlord off his own property.

Yikes! I would then turn off the electric. What else is there to control them??!:shocked2:

Huh?? But if they're selling drugs, and the police are in on it, doesn't that mean they at least have money to pay their bills?? Hmm.. back to Marlin Perkins and the tranquilizers!:P (you'll need a big cage to transport them.. just don't release them here!)

Selfish people like that can only be dealt with one way: physical removal is the only thing that will get them out of here.

Call in the Canadian ATF?? The Mounties? Whatever works, Tracie - I feel for you! Get a bunch of friends to all go up there with clubs? (oops- that would be violence! can't have that!;))

In the meantime...that breaker's looking good!

Hola!

Yes, I do agree Tracie - we just have too much stuff; to maintain, to dust, to worry about - Less is More! What I'm into now is the European concept - get some really nice stuff (like a really good couch, or have one re-done with earth-friendly stuff) that lasts and is comfortable.. I was even considering ripping out all the toxic plastic stuffing in my auto, and re-upholstering with all natural stuff.. Might not have the time, but that's how I feel! (I've worked in plants that use plastics, so I know how awful the s*** is!) If I have the strength to do it, I'll re-make this whole place to be earth and human friendly - it'll make life easier, too - less energy needed every year, and comfy! Well, my brother might object, but he will have to try and stop me!!:P

Anywhohow, glad to know I'm not alone in thinking along these lines either!!:)

Happy Trails to You!

We're so spoiled...women especially, but men too. When you look at the products we use to look good, smell good etc, and how damaging they are, not only to the planet, but to our own bodies, it's scary. I'm a clean person. If you meet me, you won't have to hold your nose, lol, and my hair's nice & shiney, but I don't cover my skin with crap. It's really not that hard to scale it back.

Mind you, I'm still totally reliant on my computer, and a printer that uses really TOXIC ink, to keep my buusiness going. So I'm not preaching...yet.:)

I waatched Kimmel in the vein hope of a new Coldplay performance, even though I hate the show. I feel like I need a shower, lol.

We're in for a HUGE storm tomorrow. If it's anythig like PEI is getting, no one's going no where. Batton down the hatches!

I'd rather be watching X-Files!

I felt like I was going to die. I got my hopes up for a new performance, though I knew there wouldn't be one. =P

Storms are great, unless you get hit by one so badly you have to stay in the high school. xP

Where is he? It's time!!

I'M SOOO HAPPY THEY''L BE HERE TOMORROW!

I'VE WAITED FOR THIS MOMENT JUST TOO MUCH!
