First off, I can't even count how many times I was in that same spot. After many years of thinking of lines and sneaky ways of getting myself "in" all went to the trash simply because we put girls way up on a pedastal (especially if they are hot). Truth is, they are just like us with the same kind in insecurities and doubts.

 

All you need to do is be yourself, The right girl will love you for all your pimpness and dorkiness. Don't ever change for her or anybody for that matter. Don't pretend to be into things she likes.

 

Be her friend, be there for her when she is down.

Yeah I agree with idsadmin...I mean if you have things in common, thats great, but if you are like, oh I love everything you like and then know nothing about them, then that can be quite embarressing, i had a friend once who pretended to like lostprophets, but really hated them, and then she wanted him to go with her to a gig, and he didnt know one song, and she was totally not impressed.

 

As well as this, dont go out like with the intention of being amazingly cool and sleak cos they will see through that as just an act, and you'll come off stupid. Hit it off with some general conversation, but dont go out to like pick up on anything, or then, it will just come out all wrong, best thing to do is take it easily and be yourself like everyone has said, seriously, that works the best!

 

Also, yeah, tell her how you feel, but dont go about in such away where it makes you look creepy, cos i've seen guys fall in love with girls they barely know, and then when they talk to them, its like, oh my god, you are so beautiful, you are so amazing, you walk on water and that i love the way you talk yadda yadda yadda and when she's only said hello to you, then it looks kinda creepy and stalky :confused:

anyway, it all depends on how you go about talking to her thom.

small talk is good such as:

"how did you do on on that test?"

if she's smart: "i wish someone would help me out with this paper..."

if she's dumb: "do you need any help?"

it'd be good to talk about sports if she looks sporty or music if she likes music. (i usually don't talk about sports cuz they suck ass and i dont play them but i ask the question anyway and if she asks me back then i make something up. no biggie)

if she doesn't know your name then you better be dang funny.

humor is key.

and being nice is good too. example:

i was talking to this girl that wasn't my friend but my friend's friend. (ha)

and like she initiated the conversation and started asking me questions and stuff. she prolly isn't interested cuz she has a big boyfriend but it's a major turn on when girls are nice and prolly vice versa for the opposite sex. you just gotta be smooth and speak clearly; it's not cool if she's always saying "what?" and crap i hate that.

just keep your cool and talk to her when she's walking to/from class.

You say them because they are so awful, and so cheesy, that it makes the girl laugh. It shows that youre brave (VERY brave), and funny, and just, out there. Its an ice-breaker really.

 

But, if you cant do it right, its awfully bad, embarassing, and stupid, and you look like a retard. In this case I DEFINATELY would not prescribe such a thing, and you know that anyway, but still. Off topic, if someone is to try a chat up line, it must be to a stranger, it must be confusing enough at first but not too confusing so that she doesnt understand whats going on, and it must be fairly quick.

Aaanyway, it eludes me how someone cant talk to another girl if they like her, just naturally. I've been able to do this since the day I realised that whatever happens, I wont remember it like 2 weeks later. It doesnt matter really.

 

But this situation is different, I think Valleyboy may not have a problem talking to girls, he just wants to make sure he gets this right, completing the job of tricking the poor girl into going out with him.

 

Well Vboy, dont talk about academics too much, its lame, obviously, but as an ice breaker, why not. The way Id work that is in, just a few steps of my program :blush:

 

-Mention like a test or how much homework you had or something

-After VERY brief chat about this, try and turn it into a conversation about something semi-funny or at least less lame. Like the weird or stupid teacher you have in the class, be casual, not like "So how was the test.... HAHA MR BONGO IS SUCH A DICK! ....Hah!...?" Or how all the homework you did last night prevented you from doing something else, something of interest. To move off the topic of school, thats what I always do.

 

Just be casual, first impressions dont last, as in, literally the first thing you say wont stick with her. If you ask her about a test and she says "Good" and then you leave it at that, she will go on not knowing your name, and caring even less.

So yea, she didn't go to classes today, just my luck. :rolleyes:

And i was freaking late to classes as usual, so i thought i wouldn't have a chance to talk to her, since i'd have to sit in the back of the room. So it was kinda good that she didn't go today, i think.

But yea, yesterday i noticed that she always hangs out with this ugly girl (so yea, it's true that hot girls always have an ugly best friend. but anyways..) And I kept uh.. admiring her during classes yesterday, and her ugly friend noticed that, i think. not sure if that's good, but it'd be great if she told her that i'm stalking her friend. So she'd be kinda ready for my moves, i presume.

Anyways, my plan is.. Next monday, I'll go to uni early, like, 10 minutes before class starts, then lurk in the shadows and wait till she arrives, so i can talk to her on our way to the classes. It'd be a good way to get to know her, right?
