Emma reveals DH test shooting begins this Monday

hermioneron.jpg The official website of Emma Watson has been updated with a new message from the Hermione Granger actress. In it, she talks about an upcoming SAT test for American universities and notes that she'll be doing test shoots for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows this Monday:

Happy 2009!

I just got back from a trip to Cuba! Which was fascinating. Wow, they can really dance over there!! I don't think I have ever felt so inadequate on a dance floor.

Anyway, it was a lot of fun, I am sitting my SAT's so that I can apply to some american universities, which is a little nerve wracking. My math is VERY dodgy, seeing as I have done nothing since my GCSE when I was 16!!

On Monday I go in for test shoots for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (part 1). I am quite excited to be back actually. I don't think I have seen Dan since the summer since he left for NY and Rupert since Autumn. I think I have a couple of costume fittings and a hair appointment to make my hair a bit browner. Not sure whether we have a couple rehearsals as well.

Excited to see if they have cast anyone yet...

Anyway, hope wherever you are, post christmas blues aren't getting you down...It's bloody cold in London!

BTW the 54 week shoot formally begins next month. Part 1 is due November 2010, and Part 2, due May 2011.

Awesome!

And it's cool that she's taking the SAT's too. I wish her the best of luck on that very tricky math.;)

And I hope she does end up going to Harvard (I live near there, I could go visit:D)

So you've mentioned for the 3rd time , don't get too over-eager...

The gap between the DH movies is a little wider than I had expected (7 months). Hopefully the 1st one stays November, unlike some others :dozey:... But good news is there may be some new footage/pics/vids of the filming relatively soon.

I'm also curious to see how Emma's fares on the SAT's. She was contemplating applying to Harvard, but she hasn't taken the SAT's yet, so, while unlikely, it's possible she might not qualify. Then again, she is Emma Watson so I'm sure the college might make an exception. :D

Eager? Who's eager?

Yay DH! Although I still am waiting for more HBP previews.

She will probably do very well. SAT's really aren't that hard, it's the math she needs to be concerned about (as she is). If you don't practice math in a few years, it is very hard to bring it all back up. She better study study study.

She'll get into Harvard.:dozey:

She has to:sneaky:

So what do you think of the PG rating for HBP? I mean The last two have PG-13, the films are supposed to be getting darker, and even accounts from prescreening confirmed that this is not a film to be marketed to kids, since it is a lot scarier. Yet after two PG-13 movies, the one where dumbledore dies is now suddenly more atuned to a younger audience?

I really don't know. Either they made the death really unscary, or they filled the movie with a bunch of crappy comedy aimed for kids in order to make the impact softer.

I personally hope it's neither.

Well I've heard that britain for film has been rated for ages 12 and up. So very much like PG-13. I supposed they bribed some people for the pg rating so as to appeal to a wider audience. But I don't take it as a sign the movie isn't going to be dark, or will even be kid-friendly. Every report I've seen has shown a scarier movie of slightly more mature content. It's also supposed to be much funnier as well. WB's attempts at adding comic relief have usually been pretty weak. But this one's supposed be part romantic comedy, the rest, dark and dangerous suspense. And one guy off mugglenet whose already seen the film believes the latter outweights the former.

^you are the man

Well that's good. At least it will be somewhat dark. I was beginning to think they were just not gonna kill off Dumbledore just to get a better rating.:dozey:

LOL, I think they'd be too afraid for their lives to ignore that. I heard they actually got death threats when they pushed the movie back to this summer.

I'm not surprised, I made vague threats just never sent them in.

well since we were talking about pervy radcliffe...

...extras!

and as for the questions:

1. GOF/DH

2. GOF

3. toughy. But I'd choose either the Quidditch World Cup, the talk in dumbledore's office at the end of OOTP, the cave scene, or the king's cross chapter. (I haven't read the first three in a long time, but I also loved the chess scene in sorceror's stone).

4. Probably the graveyard scene in GOF. I remember being told not to read it at night, and even during the day the whole thing was really scary.

5. Happiest...I think maybe the few chapters following the scene with harry and ginny in the common room after they won the quidditch cup in HBP. Probably because that was the only time harry had been really happy since before voldemort's return (GOF).

6. I tend to be very stoic, so I almost never cry, even when I'm feeling very emotional. However, while I didn't physically cry while reading the series, I was breathing heavily when cedric/dumbledore died, ron left, hermione was being tortured, and, especially, when harry knew he had to let voldemort kill him at the end of deathly hallows.

U?

Book: OOTP

Movie: GOF, but I think that will change with HBP

Part of books: the ending was very bitter/sweet of DH

Scared: when Hermione was being tortured by Bellatrix, I thought for sure JK was gonna kill her off. My hands were literally trembling as I read

Happiest: last three words of DH:D

Cried: never cried, but wanted to after Dumbledore died, and of course after I finished DH
