So I'm bored so let's talk about HP.

 

 

I am re-reading the books for the first time. I am early in OOTP. Now I don't wanna read HBP too close to the movie, cuz I know the movie won't be as good as the book and I don't wanna hate it. I haven't read HBP the first time since early last year, so I have forgotten most of it. So if I see the movie now I won't be disappointed at all probably, cuz I have forgotten everything but the major points. So I have to read OOTP very slow so as to time it up right so I will see HBP before I re-read it.

oh yeah, last time we spoke you were finishing up GOF. I suggest reading OOTP at the same pace as usual and then delaying HBP in you want to. I'm not sure it'll make a huge difference whether you read before or after. But I guess if you wait until after the movie is released you're enjoy it more the first time around...

Well with OOTP I saw the movie first, then read the book. Because the book was better, I enjoyed it a ton, and of course I liked the movie cuz I wasn't able to compare it to the book. When I saw the movie again after reading the book, I hated it. So I figure if I see HBP with little memory of the book, not only will I enjoy it more, but then when I re-read the book right after, it will make that seem all the better.

Makes sense. I think the fact that I do know a lot more about this movie going into it than previous films will make it easier to take changes in the story. Like I've accepted the whole fabricated attack on the Weasley house. If I hadn't seen all the previews that part would've pissed me off when I finally saw it in theaters. I'm starting to feel anxious that I know too much about what all the scenes will look-like. 89 more days!

Cool. I thought they did an awesome job depicting that ministry part in the movie. The whole entrance where memos and birds are flying everywhere was a highlight for me.
