Just saw it. It was okay, not much new footage but a few shots we've seen are a bit longer. The last 30 seconds is the same in every trailer, no exception here.

Damn, I typed a long thing up and then accidentally hit "back"...

 

 

So...wow! First off the cgi-visuals are breathtakingly rich and beautiful as usual (especially the ocean at the beginning. And as promised we get a bunch of new clipsm some of which are very quizzical. First let me say that I'm really digging the soundtrack scheme with the arpeggiated piano in these previews. I hope that carry's over into the actual film.

 

In chronological order...

 

First thing I noticed was that strange, weirdly comical clip of Emma...err..I mean Hermione :rolleyes: hitting Ron with one of her textbooks. Its strange because while they were angry at eachother in the books, she never would've just spontaneously hit him like that, I'm really curious to see how that scene will make sense in the movie, because it also looks like she's being careful not to hit him too hard. I'm just not sure if that part is supposed to be serious or funny.

 

Next, I was really shocked that they included a clip of Lupin (I think) saying that Voldemort chose Draco for a mission. Wasn't that like the major mystery in the book? Figuring out if Draco was a deatheater? And while he says that you see him bringing people out of the vanishing cabinets. So it feels like they kind of gave the whole story away right from the get go :\.

 

I thought it was funny that they chose to have Dumbledore standing in front of a store with "magic" displayed all over it. Later on we get a clip of Katie Bell floating and screaming in Hogsmeade which I thought was really well done.

 

The other huge thing is we finally get a good clear shot of the inferi coming out of the water. Personally I think they could all be gollum's inbred cousins, but they look pretty cool if you ask me.

 

Next is a glimpse of the Sectumsempra dual with draco, and also new shots of the burrow fight...Is it just me or does it look like the house is literally set on fire by the deatheaters as they fly by? Does this mean they actually burn down the Weasley's house? Cause that would be a very liberal change to the books...They probably put the fire's out after the deatheater's depart, but its hard to tell by the expression on their faces as they stare up at the inferno.

 

Also, WTF with bellatrix screeching and kicking over goblet's in the great hall? lol random. And the shot of Snape sending Harry flying backwards at 2:09 is epic. Anyone notice they've had like 4 different audio bytes of Harry shouting "fight back!"?

 

Final comment I want to make is on those two seconds of Draco saying "I have to do this" to Dumbledore. At first I thought it sounded kind of odd in a poorly acted type of way, (in that it looks like he does is cringe awkwardly without any real feel behind it), but the more I run over that spot, the better it seems. thoughts?

Just wanted to mention that Producer David Heyman has confirmed that in the epilogue of DH (where it's like 20 years later, and they're with their kids standing on platform 9 & 3/4), they are not going to cast adult actors to play older versions of the characters, but the current cast will play their older selves (presumably with benjamin button-esque make-up).

I can't watch the trailer off of mugglenet for some reason, so does anyone have a valid link to it? I don't want to search on youtube in case I watch the wrong one accidentaly.

I'll try to find it on you-tube. Did you try all the videos on mugglenet (like the flash and windows ones? Because some didn't work for me either until eventually one did.

I noticed they don't they have the revised release date at the end, though. Otherwise, it looks awesome, and I'm so excited! I have such high hopes that this movie will be one of the best yet.

 

Oh, but I can't look at Draco with a straight face anymore. I keep thinking of him playing the guitar and singing silly love songs :lol:
