why is it so hard to say no?

i have a problem. me and my best friends are a foursome, we do almost everything together. it's me, my twin sister and 2 other girls. but me and mindy want a bit of space y'know? my mom's is even sick of them coming over so much because they're loud.

so whenever i say no to them i always feel guilty. like tonight they wanted to go out on a walk to the drugstore but me and mindy wanted to watch a movie and they always try to persuade us, and they are fucking good at it!

and i love spending time with them, but some days i just want to rest.

and they jsut showed up on my doorstep wanted us to go.

I had that problem with a friend before. I didn't do anything to resolve it really, I just kept making excuses when she called me to do stuff and eventually she just stopped calling. But it was kinda sad because we're not friends anymore :(

thats happened to me before

yeah well i ended going with them. then i felt really sick and we went home.

i make excuses sometimes, like sometimes i tell my mom or dad to say that i'm not allowed to go somewhere as an excuse. and sometimes i say i'm not feeling to well and i feel guilty lying to them. and they're always so dissapointed when we can't do something with them.

now that's something intense to do with your friends

- sooo, let's go to the beach? noo wait, let's go to the movies

- nah, screw you, let's go to the amazing drugstore of endless fun

Jk, just tell em to ferk off the next time they piss you off.

Yeah I've been in a sitaution like that before. Except for the bit about the drugstore...I don't even think we have them here. But yeah...with this one friend she was really annoying so I'd make excuses and then she kind of got the picture. So you can either keep making excuses which will probably be a bad idea in the end or just...talk to them about it.

No.

See? That wasn't hard.

exactly.

:P it can be....shush!

yeah well i'll work something out hopefully with them, because there's no way i want to lose them as friends.

yeah its happened to me before. it sucks. i guess all i can say is just tell them you want a little time to yourself sometimes...but try not to be mean about it. ;) :D

did you ask them if they'd made an appointment?

well, i don't know what it feels....i haven't been in that kind of situation, but you could listen to brian!!!

it's unpleasant to start with "no" to your friends.

but i think they would understand u sooner or later simply because they are your best friends .

i've come across this and i just told them what was going on about me, they just said: ok, it's good for you to be alone but if u need me, i'll be there.

and appointment sir?

I think I've never had to say no, so I can't help much. But yes, Peace and Quite, what can be better than that? (besides Chocolates with Peace and Quietness)
