I'll go there in October...

that's so cool because it's special......they will only play old songs because this is a non-recurring tour...

my dad wants they play new songs too... they will play in Barcelona next 27 sept.. 4 days after my birthday :smug: It will cost a lot (ticket, vehicle, hotel.. and even i don't know which day week is)... i wish i can get a job this summer, if not i couldn't afford to pay it and i'll can't see them :(

take pics people, please.

POLICE

I'm going to attend a concert of POLICE next Saturday on 29th. I've already seen Sting 3 times at concerts, it will be 4th but this time with his old musicians. I'm looking forward to seeing them. I'll let you know about it. :)

That's awesome. I'm seeing them in January, it should be good. They are such a good band.

I wanted to see the band, but they are too expensive for me :(

David, believe me or not I've paid 120 € the ticket. They eventually give a second concert the following day. The first one was quickly sold out. However, there were less expensive tickets at the second concert ; at the first concert, only pricy tickets were left. I should have waited but no one knew there would give another concert that was not foreseen.

i would like to have gone to any of their concerts, but when they were in Spain, i was moving to Portugal  in fact they had played already in Portugal, few days after i came here. :(

definitelly i don't have good luck with concerts. :bigcry:

which songs did they've played Legal Princess (am i right, your name is Patricia?), how does the concert lasted? (2 hours, may be?).

Police in concert

I'm sorry to hear he's sick. Fortunately you'll see him nevertheless another day. It's well worth seeing him.

It's being rescheduled.

Yes it's supposed to be----but I doubt they'll really do it, because in Mannheim they won't..

Sting slammed for 'excessive carbon footprint'

(Wednesday January 09, 2008 11:00 AM)

Eco-activist Sting has been criticised by environmental campaigners - for creating a massive carbon footprint with his band The Police at the Live Earth concert.

The group reformed to tour last year, and made an appearance at the Al Gore-organised event in the summer which aimed to battle climate change.

But The Police have been singled out as the worst offenders in the music industry - beaten by more eco-friendly acts such as rockers Babyshambles and Radiohead, who were deemed the most green band by NME magazine.

John Buckley, of Carbonfootprint.com, says, "At Live Earth in New Jersey where the Police played, the biggest emissions weren't from the concert, it was the fans."

Yay I went there too....just got back.

Really really nice concert....I must admit I enjoyed the encore part more than the official one...:D

and I love Stuart Copeland hehe

Last night a couple of English guys next to us (right down the front) had to be ejected because they had too much to drink and started annoying everyone and spilling beer everywhere.

So the only "police" they ended up seeing were the real ones!!

Well this thread is ancient. I have recently gotten into The Police again, got the DVD and am in love with it.

If you look at my sig you will see I was at the tour opening. Easily the most surreal experience of my life. Got tickets, last minute and they were good. Went fairly early, and you could feel it the second you got near GM Place, the excitement, disbelief among everyone there. It was finally happening. Luckily, Im only 17(15 at the time) so the wait for me wasnt bad at all.

My dad was one of those who though it would never, happen ever. Well we sat through Fiction Plane, which I didnt mind. Then, the electronic banner, one was bright white, then dark. For half an hour, every 30 seconds we thought the lights went out. Till They did, Get Up Stand Up started playing, 3 minutes later, Stewart hit that gong.

The next 90+ minutes were pure amazement. They were so good, not smooth. But still, Stewart memorized me completely. Andy, was on fire, on form and bloody brilliant.

Then there was Sting, in league of his own. Singing was great, bass was smooth and posh. The show as many of you know, was low frill, but they made up for it with heir musicianship.

Best concert experience of my life. I will never forget that historic night

"Demolition Man" is really fun to play on GHWT. It's nice for a listen, too, particularly as it's live.

There's my two bits. :P

Last year in Paris-Stade de France
