the funny thing is, Paul has said in numerous interviews.. that he never had heard Joy Division until people made that comprison.. I dont think they are influenced by other 'bands' persay.. but they seem to be a band that is influenced by 'surroundings'.. imagery and such.. which is pretty impressive.. because when I listen to them.. its all about ambiance... they make me feel... its weird... lol

 

it's hard to believe that paul never heard of them before :confused: ...i love interpol like many do... i 've seen them 3 times, waited for autographs and pics, purchased their b-sides and magazine covers, but i can't ignore the joy division similarities...

IMO...Turn on the Bright Lights is a much better album. Have you heard any songs off that album? Like Obstacle 1..or Leif Erikson or Say hello to the angels...they are my favourite songs :D
