why 12 days before?

is this a kind of rule?

my mum always says that your suppossed to put your tree up 12 days before xmas, maybe its a myth or something :lol:

Our tree is up too! It's so beautifully festive :D We spent all of Sunday lugging boxes stuffed with homemade christmas crap upstairs and now our whole house is basically covered. My boyfriend was like...whoa. :stunned: :lol:

I wont have a tree this year in my apartent.

 

As for the white part - it snows here all the time so doesnt matter to me.
