Glastonbury sources revealed this week that Coldplay will headline this year's festival, along with The White Stripes and Kylie on the Pyramid Stage.

 

It was confirmed to Virtual Festivals the acts that will be headlining the Pyramid Stage. As rumoured for weeks, The White Stripes will play Friday, Coldplay on Saturday, with Kylie finishing things off on Sunday.

 

Looking further ahead, Eric Clapton has been confirmed to play at the 2007 Glastonbury Festival, with the festival taking a year out in 2006.

 

Glastonbury 2005 takes place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, from 24-26 June. Tickets go on sale at 9am, Sunday 3 April, priced at £125. More details on tickets will be posted to coldplaying.com as and when they are known.

EXCELLENT NEWS! its a pity its just sooooo hard to get tickets for glastonbury! but ill still try. It will certainly be worth watching live on BBC3 in the summer.

I tried gettin tickets last year for glastonbury, i was using re-dial from the time they went on sale til the time they sold out and i still got no luck at all, its just so god dam hard, i think there are literally millions trying to get 100,000 tickets.

A spokeswoman for West Dunbartonshire Council said: "Coldplay will not be playing Loch Lomond on July 2 and 3. The band will be in France on these dates.

 

That was about some gig that got cancelled, but maybe you'll be able to see them when they're in France?

I do know it is on BBC2 aswell, but they feature alot more on BBC3 and on interactive.

Me too! I'm going to try to get ticket for a gig in London. I really hope everything works out, because I've never been to a concert abroad. i have been to London though, awesome.
