I think it varies from Doctor to Doctor.

In real life DT has insisted that he's never had a pet of any sort and doesn't see the point of one. But then because he was so unfamiliar with cats he made a point to get to know one when he had to act with one, which is where all those pics come from.

I watched a Simpsons episode two days ago and a Doctor Who poster appears on the wall of the comic store, it showed The Doctor and Donna, I was drinking milk when I saw it , the milk almost came out of my nose .
