Just out of interest, is it attractive if a guy plays guitar or can it be quite cheesy?

As a heterosexual male I'm probably not the target audience for this thread, but every time I see some dude trying to impress girls by playing his guitar outside right by the entrance to his dorm or something I want to laugh at him. :P

Well, I don't think people who play the guitar just to impress other people are attractive, but I do tend to like the more musically inclined among us :D. Doesn't have to be a guitar, I just like someone who can be creative with their musical instrument.
