Seeing some oasis message boards recently it would seem as if coldplay fans hate oasis and vice versa which i find incomprehensivley bizarre. You have two excellent british bands doing two different styles.

 

What do you guys nd gals think?

I don't hate Oasis. I had tickets for a concert they had to cancel in Germany - and when it was rescheduled, I couldn't go!!

Just am a huge Coldplay fan - more my style.

However, I do think Liam acts like a tw*t most of the time. Noel's much better - he's been on Soccer AM several times.

I like both, obviously I prefer Coldplay

But as a kid of Britpop in the 90's - yes I like

them - but prefer their old stuff so there's no hatred

on my behalf what so ever. It's silly as I think the two

bands get on it's just a bartering thing isn't it *sigh* :lol:

i think theres no real rivalry at all .. the band's styles aren't as distant as you think .. the music can be quite similar however ...

Coldplay are way better with Chris' voice and their musical talents!! :D

I don't 'hate' Oasis but I wouldn't call myself a fan of their work.

they are both two of my favorite bands

same here, i admit oasis are my favorite band as i grew up with them if you know what i mean but what coldplay are doing is absolutly amazing. All 3 albums are amazing but i cant help but feel that coldplay are now in the zone where they have to be very careful with the way they approach things, if they get it right they will be the biggest band on the planet, get it wrong and it could end up a bit like oasis (wasting 2 records to find form)!!!!!

I think people are under the impression that hating on those two bands is in style of something. I don't adore Oasis, but I can see how they liked, they put a great live show.

I think Oasis might be the least relevant band in the world (which is why it's so appropriate that they're touring with Jet), but I don't hate them. It's pretty much complete indifference.

I prefer their old stuff. New albums and recent material blows...but I don't hate them at all. Liam acts like a douche sometimes, though.

The same goes with Radiohead fans. Lotsa hostility there. :/

I really don't care about Oasis.

Oasis are okay. Not really a big fan.

Looooooooooooove both bands soooo much!

 

And Liam's behaviour sometimes...it just belongs to the band's style :P
