that happend to me to! :embarrased: like a year or 2 ago. lost SOO much coldplay. i didn't really care about all my other stuff though

i had like, 20 full gigs that i lost. plus videos and everything.

God,I hate when that happens,it happened to me years ago when I had lesser stuff and it devestated me for a while,I can't imagine it happening now when I have more than 40GB worth of stuff,I would not survive :stunned:

I guess this teaches you to do backups regularly, sorry for your loss :(

Its called having more than one HD or partitioning one into bits. NEVER STORE STUFF ON OS DRIVE!!!!!! For exactly this reason.

Totally sucks dude, this has happened to me more times than I care to remember.

i have a secondary hard drive, but it was overfilled with other stuff....

so i had to store stuff on my OS drive....

then again, Coldplay stuff should ger priority........

The Killers

Franz Ferdinand

Radiohead

I have them dude I should save my stuff well do you want a copy of them! :)

You can probably get almost everything back from the Multimedia forum here :D Lots of diligent searching though.

You could use a program like 'lost and found' or one similar to recover some data, even from a formatted drive.

(it's been an object lesson to the pirateers/pornographers, that the delete bin or just formatting a drive doesn't get rid of data, just puts a new partition structure in place)
