winnie
Yeah! CDU and SPD are nearly equal - no one expected that (so didn't I)! I think, It's a great result, everything seems to end in a grand coalition. I hope, Merkel won't become Chancellor anyways.

Gitta Rensolo
I think the grand coalition wouldn't be good...they've got too many different opinions.
winnie
Well, he grand coaliton works very good here in Schleswig-Holstein! I'd prefer Red-Yellow-Green, but I think, the FDP won't do that. And btw: The elections are even broadcasted on CNN!
Petit Prince
Well, I think a grand coaliton would be the best thing if you look at the results. :/

Petit Prince
I don't want Merkel to be 'Kanzler' :embarrased:
Darlene_Ihnfsa
why?... i don't know how politics are in germany... but is there any political reason why you don't want she as kanzler?.. news explains us here that merkel party is right and schroeder party is left.. am i right?... it said that since schroeder is in the goverment there's more unployement.. i don't know if that's true or not because i don't live in germany... press says that merkel is in politics like since 1994, am i right? i don't know if she had any important place in her party before she has been elected to be kanzler or not... i mean spanish prime minister seems he hadn't got any political responsabilities before he has been elected by his party (left) to be prime minister (he hasn't be mayor or anything...) i think it better to have a previous experience in politics to elected prime minister because is a very important responsability. You're right in all points, but Merkel has been a very unpopular politician since years! Adn furthermore I don't want a pro-bush-politician to represent Germany's interests, cause most of the germans are against Bush's government and against his wars. Would Merkel have been chancellor the last years, we would have joined bush in Iraq. Thanks god, we didn't. Schröder's politic was good and we would have had the unemployment-rates under a merkel-regime too, maybe even more! Currently the parties are arguing, who hast to become chancellor - it seems, schröder's party has more seats in the government, so it would be logical to me, that schröder becomes chancellor again. But merkel's party is against this, of course. Anyways, I'm happy with these rsults!
