Earls Court 2005 Pre Order

Featured Replies

or a server that worked properly.

touts probably got tickets, but they've already added an extra night, i reckon they'll add another, plus all gigs at earls court always release more tickets between the initial on sale date, and show.

so even if it does sell out super quick, you'll be able to pick up tickets for about £15 each on ebay the week of the shows, as touts will be desperate to offload

3rd Date at Earls Court...Jesus....They really are selling like hot cakes.

:)

I was on there dead on nine and they all went, only took me a couple of minutes to put info in but they had gone...DAMN THEM (i dont know who them are :/ )

And how do we know more dates are added... I mean they should be...but i wanna know now...Im so impateint :D

Where does it say further dates have been added for Earl's Court?? If that's true, it's great news..............................

Anyway, these pre-sales are pointless, as you seem to have next to no chance of getting tickets.

First of all, the start time is daft as a lot of people are working then and are unable to access the pre-sale. They should have an evening start so more people have a chance.

Secondly, when it's a band as big as Coldplay, they should operate the tickets sale as a "lottery", as happens with other big events such as the World Cup and Wimbledon.

That would scupper the touts and give everyone an equal chance of getting tickets.

They could have an initial date by which you would have to register for the "lottery".

If for any reason all the tickets were not taken by this method, the rest could then be put on general sale.

Are you listening, Coldplay? :idea2:

Exactly the same thing happened with U2. The pre-sale website was overloaded and it was impossible to get tickets.

Other events/concerts which should be organised on a "lottery" basis are:

Glastonbury, Robbie Williams and any major sporting event which is guaranteed to be a sell-out!! :idea2:

Maybe we should start a petition!! ;)

3 nights at earls court but no south west dates?!! just doesnt make any sense to me at all

well, I got my tickets so I'm happy, but I do think a lottery would be better for a pre-sale.

Please check out my "ticket S.O.S." thread!! :)

Back on sale now for all three dates....

quick!

Yes, Ian - your board has come up trumps yet again - so please take a well-deserved bow!!

lotteries are a bad idea, as its not fair to people that have wanted to see them for years, and never had the chance.

take live 8 for example, someone i know got tickets, and mainly went to see robbie williams, great for them, but think of all those people that have wanted to see pink floyd for years, sent in 20 text messages, and got nothing.

its crappy, but they should set up a fan club, and make people pay for pre-sale info, it would cut down the amount of "casuals" and touts getting tickets, and the die hards would almost be guaranteed good tickets.

I was FUCKING out...at the shity dentist and missed the pre-sale for the next lot...FUCK FUCK FUCK...

Just have to try the general sale tomorrow :D

they should have some sort of quiz which you have to answer quickly (so people cant look up answers on google etc.). the questions should not be too hard but hard enough so any touts get caught - e.g. the name of coldplay's first album? or which of these is not a coldplay song? etc.

just a thought

I don't agree with having to pay "twice" for the privilege of getting tickets.

Then it's no better than paying a tout!!

I know U2 had something like that going - it's a rip-off.

A lottery's the fairest way in my opinion - at least then everyone has an equal chance.

The Live 8 system was a good idea - for the price of a text message you had a chance of going. Better than no chance at all!! :)

I suppose if there was an official fan club and there were other benefits to joining (as in the case of Marillion) I might consider it, though..................

as long as I could guarantee getting some tickets each time!! :)

I didn't get any tix today. I'm really bummed. I don't have internet access @ work.

Im going to Manchester to see them!!!!!!!! woooot hehe my uncle managed to get the tickets on the presale and he said it was kinda in a rush because they were selling so fast

Yeah, that sucks. That's why I reckon they should do pre-sales in the evening to give more people a chance - or maybe have one morning and one evening pre-sale.

I was lucky enough to be around for the 3pm one, but it was a strange time to have it!!

i just looked on ticketmaster and everywhere is sold out except a few tickets for newcastle :stunned:

I think Ticketmaster should be renamed "Sick"etmaster :P
