99 for standing! wow! they even cost less than coldplay... :stunned:

Yeh I was a bit suprised with Coldplay prices.....all the other bands coming to Australia like Foo Fighters, Oasis, Greenday were about 80-90. Thought Coldplay shouldnt have been more then 99. But oh well I guess, tickets all payed now.

yeah.. but then again U2 are at telstra stadium.. which is pretty frieken huge. maybe they dont need as much to run the concert. or maybe U2 arent as selfish :)

if standing tickets are $99, then what other possible place could be worth up to $199?!

Sorry I'm a few days late on this but what's the deal with schwarzer? Why's everybody so on to him (besides the fact he single-handedly got you guys into the World Cup :P)?

best reserved seats....99 would be the ones in the top stand i guess

sitting on the stage next to bono.

ai --> 1) schwarzer was jesus during the match, and god during penalty shootouts.

2) schwarzer is gorgeous and i find him strangely attractive with his unproportionately elongated head

3) schwarzer is carrying my babies

bonnie --> that's exactly what i was thinking. and callum it could very well be sitting next to bono. see u2 have always been one for cheaper prices for their fans and i think charging fans 99 bucks for standing tickets when they are a band of such a high magnitude, is an excellent price. i thought cp were being very selfish with their ticket prices and i was very disappointed actually.

adam --> yes i was expecting the same. wasn't expecting more than 99 dollars. prices have skyrocketed since their last aussie tour. seems like a 50 dollar increase in ticket prices doesn't bother them.

Unproportionately elongated head.....

Yes I to was disappointed, I remember reading an article in the Advertiser (an adelaide newspaper) about the upcoming adelaide show and there was also people's opinions on the high prices. Many said they wouldnt spend any more then 80-90$ unless they were really big fans. However most of the concerts have been sold out so I guess they wont care. In a way though they could be potentially missing out on people who might like a song or two and go for a good night out and maybe after that night turn into a fanatic like us. :)

I should imagine! He's yours then, and both of you are gonna live happily ever after? :wink3:

Btw, I'm too lazy to check this out, but who scored & who missed the penalties? :P

Kewell was first and scored, then the first uruguay player Dario R. who scored in the first leg had an awkward lead up to his shot and kind of stuttered and Scharzwer THE GOD saved it. Then lucas neil from Australia scored. Then some uruguay player scored however Scharzwer the GOD almost saved another, it just went under him. Tony Vidmar (Adelaide boy YAY) then scored. Then another Uruguay player scored, beautifully done might I add, nicely tucked away was no chance for Scharzwer the GOD. Then viduka had his shot but he MISSED :stunned:  . However Scharzwer the GOD saved our asses again. All left was for Alosi (Adelaide Boy YAY) ....Alosi scored then took his shirt of and waved it in the air and ran off at 100 miles an hour with the rest of Australia and his team mates screaming their heads off and fireworks being left off in the stadium.

THE END :smug:

LOL at the subliminal *coughs* references to schwarzer being god. he's a good looking god might i add, and yes; with his unproportionately elongated head and all.

aloisi was sooooo gorgeous when he ran off at 100 miles an hour, and schwarzer ran off after him too it was soo gorgeous

Haha... Thank you for that blow-by-blow account. Conclusions: the penalty kick practices paid off, all the Aussie footballers are heroes (except maybe Kewell), and... Scharzwer=GOD!!!

Btw, how d'you pronounce his name? Skartz-zer? Skartz-wer?
