March 4, 201016 yr ^ Nice :D! Thanks, that's awesome! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zVZFULJunE&feature=related]YouTube- Glen Hansard People Get Ready Other Voices 2004[/ame] Wow, this is really amazing.
March 5, 201016 yr Wow. I had no idea the song was that old. They played it at Lollapalooza in 2006, but I thought that was early for it.
March 5, 201016 yr Also incidentally, I never could figure out what Glen was singing over and over again at the end of the sing. Until this acoustic version made it clear he sings "Just look up". What a revelation. DUN DUN DUN Sometimes I need your revelation DUN DUN DUN DUN sometimes it's all too hard to take... Real Frames fans will get that.
March 5, 201016 yr Fitzcarraldo, man. I'm a fan too. Nice to know that there's a place on this forum dedicated to this man and his bands.
March 5, 201016 yr oh yah, sorry. i dont no why i said fitzcarraldo. probably because of the album. oh shit, now i look like a bad fan, haha.
March 5, 201016 yr Lol it's okay. Just say it's from the album and technically you're right. :P so how long have you been a fan? how did you discover glen?
March 6, 201016 yr about a year and a half. a friend of mine was a ot into him and kept putting his stuff on when i was over at his place. i just asked him to lend me some of the frames' albums and i fell in love then. how about you?
March 6, 201016 yr That's really cool, your friend has great taste. Well I'm what I call a 'once child'. Most of the new fans fall under this category. I saw Once, absolutely loved it, then found The Swell Season album, loved it, then eventually discovered he was in this band called The Frames. The rest, as they say, is history. The Frames is actually the band that overtook Coldplay as my favorite. I was one of those "I'll never love any band more than I love Coldplay!!" people, then after 5 months of Glen's stuff and 3 Frames albums I was pretty much done listening to them. Favorite Frames song/album? Hell, which is your favorite band of his?
March 6, 201016 yr I found them exactly the same way you did, Nick. My mum forced me to watch Once...me thinking I'd hate it....loved it...etc Oh and, They've changed the venue I'm seeing The Swell Season at... It's more of a theatre kind of venue which sucks in some ways because it would have been awesome to see them in a really small tent
March 6, 201016 yr the same. My brother dragged me to see once, was blown away by it, and started researching glen hansard and the band when I got home.
