what is this?? and why is my laptop telling me to download this..... I haven't done so.. but its getting quite annoying...

It's a virus I think...in some ways

 

My friend had this...I think when you go to uninstall it, it downloads the uninstallation program along with some kind of switch that starts the virus up

ahhhaa!! thats what I figured!! How do I make this thing stop?? I haven't d/l it- for I had feared it was a virus related scam.... but its pop ups are annoying... I scanned my pc and nothing...

i don't know if norton can detect spyware. you should download an anti-spyware just in case.

Yeah. I used it once and it was able to detect some nasty stuff.

WARNING - This program is a trojan downloader. Very dangerous as it downloads many viruses on your pc. Norton detected it. Other anti-virus software like pc-cillan did not detect it

WinFixer 2005. I checked it out, and it's an official program. It means you have a virus or spyware, and your computer wants you to fix it, so I would suggest downloading it.

 

From what I'm reading it's a really good program.

no its not. it pretends to be a good program. if you click yes to install it doesnt work unless you pay for it. dont download it at all, its preying on silly people who think its good.
