November 11, 200520 yr it's just all wrong. I have problem with maths since I started school 13 years ago. but now I have to get it right and it just doesn't work. I perfectly know that I mustn't have a poor grade anymore because I'm doing my final exams in april next year (diploma from german secondary school, qualifying for university admission or matriculation). so I simply did EVERYTHING I could for the test today. I was so sure that I've finally understood the topic and I thought I would at least doing alright. but it all went wrong again. I know I've failed the test. seriously, I have no idea what I shall do. there's no money for private lessons and now I'm really starting to think that I'm too stupid to get maths anyway. maybe it's gonna keep me from passing my exams. sorry, I just had to write that down. dunno why.
November 11, 200520 yr ^ aww im really sorry... in yr 9 and 10 i sucked hard at maths cuz i didnt do much work and i did advanced. i spent alot of the time burning stationary with my friend! i was really bummed out bout that, but i knew it was my fault. i dropped down to general and now im coming 1st! November 11, 200520 yr Author bonabon, that's quite the same with me. I know I've missed a lot during the last few years and that was my fault, but there is very little, if any time left now to get that right again.

I know I've missed a lot during the last few years and that was my fault, but there is very little, if any time left now to get that right again. exactly like me :( i never really got maths so i didn't bother :/ now its come back to haunt me cos i'm doing lots of it at uni (URRGGG) but yeah private lessons are expensive my sister went to a maths group thingy less expensive and she is doing ok, i wish i went to one of those. Do you have tutor groups programs? you know where university students volunteer time to teach highschool students?
November 11, 200520 yr ohhh sarah, I'm so sorry for you... :/ the opposite happens to me...I love maths, but I haaaaaaaaaate science!!!I have always had to study the triple of science and all this stuff because I just can't get it...I always try my best to sutyd physics, biology an chemistry but then the tests come and everything goes down...I just don't know why...
November 11, 200520 yr Maybe there's a friend or just someone from your class who is really good and could help you? Sometimes it helps when someone explains it's differently from a teacher. I was always rather good at Maths, but there were few things my mum taught me and they made the things a lot easier. The way teachers told it was far more complicated for my mind. Anyhow, I know the feeling when some subjects just seem too baaad. I have had one or two at uni. Drove me insane. I took the exams several times.
November 11, 200520 yr Author ^I tried everything. ;) all my friends helped me during the last weeks and sometimes I was even better than them. that is why I was quite sure that I would pass the test. I don't know, maybe I'm too nervous or something. the problem today was, that the time was far too short to do 5 tasks. anyway... I think I'll get the test back on tuesday. we'll see. Do you have tutor groups programs? you know where university students volunteer time to teach highschool students? ehm... dunno. never heard of something like that at our school.
November 11, 200520 yr I hate maths too.. but is not too hard.. is just that you have to study a bit more and I'm sure you'll get really good at maths
November 11, 200520 yr awwwwwwwwwwwwww sarah, alles wird gut, ganz bestimmt *großesdrück* du schaffst das!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
November 11, 200520 yr Author danke sheila. *knuff* wird schon werden... muss ja. ^^ at the moment it actually IS kinda the end of the world for me. I'm quite good in every other subject and it is not my desire that I won't get my degree just because of maths.
November 11, 200520 yr Let me repeat.. it is NOT the end of the world. Don't get me started on what would classify as the end of the world.

November 11, 200520 yr Author justine, I guess you perfectly know what I'm referring to. I'm referring to personal feelings and not to the world's problems in general. sorry, I didn't want to offend you.
November 11, 200520 yr It WOULD be the end of the world if eric wasn't here to set us straight every day. awww, how sweet of you. Sarah, don't worry. Just take this advice: "2+2=5" and "it's not where, but who you're with that really matters..."
November 18, 200520 yr Author hey folks... you won't believe what happened. you'll maybe think I'm crazy... I've passed the damn test!!! aww, I'm so incredibly happy... :) it was a near thing, though... one little mistake more and I probably wouldn't have made it. but hey, who cares now?! I passed the test! I really didn't expect it, cause I failed all my maths tests last year but now I did it. I'm just... happy! :D wohoo...
