I was just wondering what the usual length of coldplay concerts is. I need to know in order to get the whole get there/back thing out of the way. I plan to buy tix on saturday...hopefully ill find something good.

The last show was around a hour and forty-five.

Not long enough. 17 songs is weak.

They are about an hour 1/2 or just over. They do three songs after the main set as an encore so don't miss those as they are great.

 

17 songs weak? In the UK an hour 30/40 mins is pretty good - certainly not short. I don't think they leave anyone feeling disapointed... except you inmyplace13! :)

Around 1 hour 30 to 1 hour 45 seems to be the standard. Wee bit short I feel but still brilliant to see!

All I'm saying is their body of work (including b-sides) is extensive enough now that they could play maybe 20 songs a night. Maybe add one or two more to the acoustic set or do a second encore.

 

I'm not disappointed at all. The two times I saw them last autumn were ALMOST better than U2 on October 29. They could just extend it, they have the capacity.

They could do plenty more than 17 or 18. Some bands do 20+. If it was Coldplay alone and no supporting acts, I'm sure the concert would last 2+ hours

I went to my first Coldplay concert a few months ago and boy, I was surprised how quickly it seemed to go! Before I knew it, they were doing the encore! Too bad they aren't like what I've heard Bruce Springsteen concerts were like: I could definitely handle three or four hours of Coldplay!!!

17 songs isnt really weak to me. U2 played maybe 22, they just lasted longer cause bono was talking a lot. U2 was maybe 2 hours 20 min, and it was awesome. I hope they play an extra song or two for the Tampa show I'm going to cause they postponed it.

I think 1.5 hrs. is a little too short.

chris can't sing a long concert. if you listen, he starts losing his voice.

in leipzig they played 16 songs. (90 min)

1 hour ~40 mins in madrid

its never long enough unfortunately. But they don't perform any less than most bands i guess. I could watch them for forever so it always seem soooo fast and so short!

elizabeth, concert in portugal was around 1hr and 50 minutes

Most headline bands play a 90minutes set. (give or take a few minutes)

 

And most of Coldplays songs are around 5 minutes each.
