Now, I know we are all Brit rock hipsters on this board, but I am unfortunately someone who embraces all manners and forms of music, even if it is incredibly embarrassing...!

 

Anyways, I am just wondering if anyone else is a country fan? Now, I'm not talking so much like Brooks and Dunn country, but more like Keith Urban, Brad Paisley and Dixie Chicks fans...or Johnny cash if we want to be trendy...

 

If anyone is, please spread the love! Le me know about any good bands, because I am just a lonely urban girl in Montreal (apparently, the NEW Seattle) who loves country music and feels the need to hide it from her friends lest they start barring her from going to Bloc Party and Wolf Parade concerts with her....

i know this is an old thread, but let me just take this moment to lol at the "new seattle" line.

 

why should it be embarrassing to like country music, as long as it's good? i really love neko case and gillian welch and they would both be classified as country (or alt-country/folk, if you're one of those embarrassed ones :rolleyes:)but i don't see why that's a bad thing. they're fucking brilliant.
