I was wondering for how long they've been playing:

Chris- piano, guitar

Jonny-guitar

Will- drums, piano

Guy- bass, piano

 

If anyone knows, plaese share your knowledge with me...;)

Can anyone, except Guy, play bass?

Will only started properly playing drums when he joined the band. They were trying to find a drummer, and the guy who was supposed to try out with them didnt turn up, so Will tried playing, and they thought he was incredible. The rest is history!

i think jonny got his first guitar when he was 14

i've just read on ezine that chris started to play piano late, when he was 15 :o

Jonny began playing the guitar when he was about 11. His brother taught him. He can't read music though. Don't think any of them can?

 

Will used to be a guitarist before taking up the drums to be in the band. They needed someone to drum on a track they were recording and Will helped out. And as you say Steph, the rest is history! :)

You're only 13 though! You have muchos years to learn. :)

Yeah... my mom kind of wants me to do music as a profession. Um. Hell no. I can't even play in front of 100 people, imagine playing professionally.

And you're saying that chris started playing piano when he was 15, but i think that is the guitar. I read in some magazine that he started playing piano when he was a child (although his parents gave him a small sized guitar, but he never played it) and that he wrote he's first song when he was like 12.

^well, bass and guitar are very related, i bet he can or probably will play it and not suck at it completely. i know plenty of guitarist and almost all of them play both, but end up choosing one because of personality or because their band is lacking a guitarist of bassist.

i dont believe that jonny can play music, but i suspect that will might...as far as i have undesrtood, he has been a musician for quite sometime now.. :/

yeah, will can play the violin, so he can read music for sure. Actually, he plays like a thousand of instruments!

Well im not sure how well, but he plays the keyboard a bit in SOS video and on VH1 Storytellers too, so he must know some basic stuff.

i think he learned how to play these songs, only.

 

and Will may know how to play bass.

jonny plays piano too, on sparks. he played it on that secret gig they did for few fans, remember...oh i remeber him playing line in fix you on piano that he usually plays on his guitar, that was on NMA..yep

 

oh and i'm sure chris started playing piano at 15, cus miller said chris's piano teacher told him how late he started playing it..
