So I added all of the tracks from "Coldplay-The Scientist(Limited Edition CD & DVD Single Digipak) to my MP3 player. After a couple of listens, "The Scientist(reversed)" ended up being my favorite track of all. I remember what was the beginning of "The Scientist(reversed)" from their recent concert. I didn't realize the whole track reversed was a masterpiece as well.

I've memorized the entire song backwards. I catch myself humming or even sometimes singing along to this track out loud at work. I'll forever connect this track to Christmas 2005. It's unique lyrics and melody snapped me out of the slump I've been in for the past six months. What I love about this track reversed is that the lyrics can mean whatever you want them to be. In the end, Chris Martin and Co. only want you to be healed from any sufferering you might be going through. Forward, backward or sideways, this will always be my favorite Coldplay song.

I'm sorry if this comes across as very strange. I'll retreat to my puddle of tears now.

I was watching the Glasto vids and when they play it at the end of The Scientist while they go get the cameras to throw into the crowd, he heard it and came running into the room and attacked the miniblind then ran back out. I think he may need an exorcist or something. :lol:

As corny and cheesey as it sounds, this song has actually given me a new hope in life. I guess because I've attached my own meanings to the lyrics in reverse.
