January 1, 200620 yr Have you ever thought about joining the army and becoming a soldier? It would be my fall-back plan. The Irish army aint doing a whole bunch, I'm also eligible to join the British Army/Navy or the Canadian Army. The Brits would mean I'd make a loaaaad of money. Kenna (who used to post here) Gets out of the army in about a year I think, she's been gone for 2. I hope she remembers to come back here.
January 1, 200620 yr never...! That's why I refused the military service here. I've problems with authorities like they have in the army... and moreove I have problems with killing people ;-) Well... at the most I maybe would fight in the underground for my country... but nothing more...
January 1, 200620 yr Author As a moral issue, I wouldn't have much of a problem killing someone who doesnt have a problem with killing someone. Besides, most military work doesnt involve killing people. But if I was asked to drop a bomb on a village so my army could take control of it, there's no way I could do it.
January 1, 200620 yr Ahh I remember Kenna, I had wondered what happened to her. I think it would be kinda kewl to join the army. I guess you would be doing your bit for your country so yeah
January 1, 200620 yr interesting thread,Reilly i would never go to war,as Russian i heard a lot about the 2nd World War,my grandpas and grandmas lost their parents in that time. And when they talk about it they always cry, there's nothing worse as a war...
January 1, 200620 yr I have considered the army as a career path but I have gradually lost interest. I would rather be a policeman to be honest. I agree with you Reilly about the killing soldiers thing that if they believe the same but knowingly killing civillians I wouldn't want on my conscience. By the way, nice to see more debate and topical things. I saw the demise of your thread Reilly and I agree that it is becoming a chat room.
