oi i hate when people talk politics...

it drifts us appart, and it doesn't really matter in the end of the day every person has his or her own opinion, and usually in politics there's no way to make someone think he's wrong.......

so discussions about it seem pointless

i like politics

everybody has own opinion and it's normal, the "funny" thing is ppl can talk about politics for hours so it's better if we stop now :P

uhhh...... there are too many political issues that my country is involved in that I hear something political once every hour, and I get sick of it

There's always the extreme left or the extreme right here, and i don't know what I think, because I hear things that make sense from both sides. So I stay somewhere in the middle.

Green eyes, you cant have a complete lack of politics in your life. Whats the point in having your opinions if you dont share or debate with them?

Of course talking about politics too much is an overkill, which is awful, but there's certainly no threat of that on this forum, not right now anyway...

Swallowed in the sea, yes they are setting up a government/seizing Iraq. I still dont see what setting up a government in Iraq does to protect your family/country. Iraq was never a threat to America.

i do have politics in my life.. that's what I'm saying. That's the problem- too much politics.............

And too many times I've heard of people just hating each other because of it. For example, a few months ago Israel seperated from a part of land in Gaza. And there were people for it and against it. The people against it walked around with orange strings on their bags and the people for it walked around with blue bands on their bags. And people with different bands were basically ignoring each other on the street, or worse was trying to convince each other that they were right and it just led to huge arguments that basically led to nowhere

I've even heard of people divorcing because of different political ideas

How exactly would going to Iraq and seizing it be protecting your family and friends?

Terrorist bombings had nothing to do with Iraq, or its people. It was a seize mission in order to protect the country from its leader, it had nothing to do with protecting americans.

because iraq is part of the global war on terror. people arent able to grasp this concept to often. its part of a big picture...we cannot defeat any terrorist group with saddam in power, and the same goes for the leaders of iran and syria...and terrorist have killed us and are trying and were at war with them so they are a threat to us, making saddam a threat as well. not to mention saddam did not have any wmd's BUT we found out he was going to make them a few years after we invaded...so we would have had to invade sometime to prevent him from selling wmd's to terrorist who would turn around and try to use it on us. instead of cathing saddam in the act of making wmd's, we just stopped him right before he did. like catching a criminal on his way to rob a bank instead in the bank robbing it.

I'm not going to get into any political debates here, I'm merely going to answer Reilly by saying that I can't join the army anyway as I hold dual nationality..

My cousin flew out to Iraq on Boxing Day. He's a officer pilot in the RAF. He flew out for 10 days cause some other workers got drunk and sent home.

He doesn't mind having to go out there and risk his life cause he loves his job. We as a family get pretty worried though.

No, I wouldn't out of free will... I dont know what I'd do if I were forced into the army
