You know, I like Gwyneth Paltrow as much as the next guy. Not just because she's beautiful, but because she's very talented, and seems to have an above average intelligence. And not just above average for an actor.

 

Recently, however, Gwyneth's actions and statements have led me to believe that she may be slipping from the realm of the un-crazy. First she named her daughter Apple. Cute, but really, a pretty dumb name. I think everyone can agree with that. Now, that a boy on the way, rumour is that Paltrow, and hubby Chris Martin of Coldplay want to name their new son Capone, because it has "character," says the National Enquirer.

 

But if all that baby-naming mishigas wasn't enough, now Gwyneth and clan are saying that their house is haunted, and at the behest of Madonna, they will be performing an exorcism on the house with the help of a Rabbi from the London Kabbalah centre, reports EntertainmentWise. I think one sure sign of mental instability is taking religious advice from Madonna.

There's a thread about the Capone thing (and the haunted house thing) already I believe. By the way, it wasn't Gwyneth who named Apple. It was Chris.

Why is the name 'Apple' so fucking weird?

Here in Hungary there's an identical name too: it's Alma which means Apple. Both fruit and name. It's not so unique or strange, I think.

Madonna is the most hypocritical woman alive...kaballah is all about defeating the biggest evil within our lives (the ego), yet this woman has multi-million dollar houses everywhere and bentley's and flashy jewelry...how the hell can she preach the teachings of this religion if her lifestyle is in direct competetion with it?

I think Apple is a nice name.. but Capone.. :stunned: oh my God.. But, everyone has their own taste, let's not be so critical. You can't call somebody crazy just because of their kids' names.

And that haunted house-thing.. my theory is that Madonna is the one who "discovered" the house is hounted so that she could get Gwyneth and Chris into this Kabbalah-thing.

 

I really don't want to think that they are going crazy. Well, at least Chris seems very down to earth.. :)

i never found apple to be any weirder name than the others, and it does symbolize pureness and simplicity really. in my country, croatia, it's normal and very traditional thing to call your kids after the fruits..like strawberry-jagoda. but you don't think about fruit when i pronouce it.. :lol: the only thing that shocked me is that reaction of the world to apple. man..and then we're susprised how many ppl die in iraq every day. really,the intrest to that extend really shows that the world is going to massive destruction.
